Makeup Revolution – Pressed Glitter Palette – Abracadabra

A magical collection of pressed glitter goodness!

Can I start by saying wow! I rarely find a pressed glitter palette that I must get – usually I’m put off by the formulas or the fact you can’t purchase them from a reputable UK registered companies. Anything regarding glitter makes me dubious – is it cosmetic grade? Can you use it near your eyes? Is it safe?

Ensuring my products are safe and up to the cosmetic requirements is something I hold very important – if the glitter isn’t cosmetic grade it could be small pieces of plastic or metal that can cause damage to your eyes and skin – something that I do not take lightly! Look after yourselves and only buy from reputable sellers! With that in mind, I was stoked to hear that Makeup Revolution was releasing some new glitter palettes which I just had to get my hands on!

Out of the three, this is the one that caught my eye the most and I knew I just had to have it in my collection! The vivid shades of Alchemy and Superstition just drew me in and I was sold at Witchcraft. Plus you know I’m a sucker for anything witchy!

The glitters are stunning, easy to use and stick well with the use of a glitter glue/primer. I’ve been using mine with the Nyx Glitter Primer, and been having minimal fallout with enough wear for an evening – approximately 4-5 hours of wear before they start to wear off. I have yet to try it with another glue/primer so it could all be down to that.

The glitter particles are a good size, not too large or small so they’re perfect for contouring into the eyelid without creating a solid panel – but rather a flexible coating which decreases the awkwardness some glitters can have when worn.

What I love is the variety of colours – making it easier to use for multiple looks. They do offer two other pressed glitter palettes in a less diversified colours with a golden colour scheme and a burgundy red scheme.

Bottom Line: The vividness of the colours, along with the duochrome glimpses of Hocus Pocus have me under it’s spell!
