Nails Inc. – Inc. Redible – Shine A Light On Me Light Reflecting Lipstick – Basically Extra

IMG_7016

A stunning multi-use lipstick that is perfect for summer!

I was very lucky to receive this product from Nail’s Inc for me to review for my blog – Please note I received this complimentary!

For this summer Nail’s Inc has released a beautiful collection of lipsticks, glosses, nail varnishes and face masks. Check out their new collection here! I decided to try out one of their new Shine A Light On Me lipstick in the shade Basically Extra, as the rosey pink of the lipstick and gold holographic pigment stood out to me.

IMG_7017

The thing I loved about this lipstick has build-able coverage, so its perfect to apply as a sheer balm with a light application or as a powerful punch with layers – making it completely custom to your style and look. The lipstick is balm-esque which doesn’t dry your lips out but instead keeps them hydrated after application, lasting a long while. Due to this easy glide formula it is easy to use for a multitude of other ways – I also used it as a highlighter as its sparkly enough to add some goddess glow which looks sun kissed.

IMG_7018

You can see my swatches below showing what it looks like with hard pressure, light pressure and then dabbed out for use as a highlighter.

Bottom Line: A stunning, perfect for summer lip stick that adds a subtle glow to your lips for a fresh, dewy look.

URBAN DECAY – Blush, Bronzer and Highlight Palette – Sin Afterglow Palette

IMG_6729

A sparkly collection of blusher, bronzer and highlights!

So I got this recently as I wanted an all in one palette to take on my travels to save me carrying a load of compacts/kits in my makeup bag. The colours weren’t anything special, which is sad from a brand as innovative as Urban Decay. I feel they played it safe with the release of this palette – but by doing so it creates an everyday staple.

In this palette you get six shades; A matte rose pink – Kiss Off, a sparkly peach pink – Score, a matte universal tan brown – Paranoid, a glittery rose-gold/brown –PSA, a peach gold highlight – Spotlight, and finally a champagne highlight – Sin.

IMG_6579

Although the colours are run of the mill standard blushes, bronzers and highlights – I have to commend them on their formula. They’re easy to use, blend and apply – no fallout and easy to build up colour to create the look that you want. I wouldn’t say they’re a buttery powder, they’re as Urban Decay say – ultra-lightweight due to their afterglow formula.

A little goes a long way so I’m very glad from a value for money side of things. They’re also very long lasting. Urban Decay say they should last up to 8 hours. I’ve worn them for 6 hours without a primer or setting spray and not seen them wear off!

Bottom Line: If you want to have a blush, highlight and contour palette in one and love Urban Decay formula – this is for you, but the shades aren’t revolutionary!

URBAN DECAY – UDXKL – KRISTEN LEANNE COLLABORATION – KALEIDOSCOPE EYESHADOW PALETTE

IMG_5033

Oh my, such an electric collection of glittery stunning shades!

As you’ve seen from my Beauty Beam palette and Daydream palette – I am completely obsessed with this Kristen Leanne and Urban Decay collaboration!

I decided I had to complete my palette collection and splash out on something outside of my usual, neutral, not too flashy palettes – so I decided to grab this beauty! This palette contains a wide range of shimmering, rainbow colours to create a magnitude of looks!

IMG_5034

In this palette you get a creamy collection which boasts a vibrant pink, an electrifying purple and a stunning gold to name a few. The shades are names after Kristen’s favourite things such as Corona, Tajin and Dye – the latter being a homage to her Arctic Fox company that specialises in Vegan hair dye!

This palette is the complete opposite of her Daydream collection as it’s for more glam looks as it’s vibrant shades are jammed packed with shimmer and glitter. The shades build beautifully, allowing you to create beautiful and unique looks to which you’re able to customise the colour payoff.

As with the other eyeshadow palette, you get a vegan brush included that has a fluffy, blending end and then a stubby, compacted end to help create your looks!

Bottom Line: Oh my god, I am in love with the bright striking shades!

Bourjois Paris – Little Round Pot Blusher – Rose D’Or – PR

IMG_4562

A portable blusher pot that delivers good pigmentation without going overboard!

I must firstly point out that I received this blusher pot for free, as a complimentary item to review for my blog, and to provide a honest review of the item for my readers, courtesy of Bourjois Paris and Influenster.

I’ve been using these blusher pots since I started wearing makeup – and they’ve always been a staple in my makeup bag before I started buying premium. They do their job, and they do it well. With the wide range of colours that Bourjois offer, you’re sure to find a shade to match your tone and look. There’s numerous different finishes, with some containing shimmer and some being matte – so you can mix it up however you want!

Each pot comes with its own mirror and blusher brush – but the brush is prone to shedding but together with the mirror it is handy for on the go application for touch-ups. The one problem I find with these blushers is that over time they become hard to pick up on my blusher brushes, as if the product hardens and refuses to pick up no matter how hard I try.

Bottom Line: A cute, portable sized budget friendly blusher pot which does the job!

Price: £6.49 at Boots and all other Bourjois retailers!

MAKEUP REVOLUTION LONDON – Highlighter& Eyeshadow Palette– Good As Gold

IMG_4522

A beautiful golden brown collection with stunning shimmery highlights.

I snapped this palette up alongside my other Makeup Revolution London palettes. This palette caught my eye due to the glittering gold shades of eyeshadows, and the fact it has four complimentary highlighter shades!

These eyeshadow shades are very pigmented and the shimmery shades do not contain chunky glitter. With beautiful neutral matte base shades, and dark transitional shades this is a perfect all in one palette for created gilded looks. There’s different shades of gold to get the glam look you are aiming for whether its subtle, or showstopping!

IMG_4523

You also get four highlighter shades; a bronzed shade, a bright 24K gold shade, a pale champagne gold and a pale pink shade. The golds are shimmery, with fine golden shimmer where as the pink shade is a matte highlighter. The pink shade is absolutely stunning if you don’t want extra shimmer, but still want an eye-catching highlight that is buildable from subtle to glow queen!

Bottom Line: A stunning collection of golden eyeshadows and highlighters!

Urban Decay – UDxKL – Kristen Leanne Collaboration – Beauty Beam Highlighter Palette

IMG_4466

This was the collaboration I was looking forward to the most this year!

Everyone who follows me on my social media will know I love Kristen Leanne – I even lost it when she liked my photos on Instagram.  So when this collaboration was announced on Kristen’s social media – I knew I had to own these. I was so, so psyched for this collaboration. As soon as these items hit the Urban Decay UK website, I placed my order – and I am so glad I did.

IMG_4467

The first two items I ordered were this Beauty Beam highlighter palette and her Day Dream eyeshadow palette – I will be reviewing the latter soon. I am eager to get my hands on the Kaleidoscope palette but there has been a supply issue in the UK.

This palette is amazing as it is an all in one highlighter palette with three shades; a dark bronze highlight, a light gold highlight and a champagne gold highlight. Each shade is as shimmery as the next, and the colour payoff is immense. The bronze shade is perfect to define and contour and the light gold is perfect to highlight your cheekbones where as the softer nude champagne highlight is perfect for a subtler glow.

Bottom Line: A trio of creamy, shimmering highlights that will suit everyone’s look.

Makeup Revolution London – Highlighter Palette – Ultra Cool Glow – Unicorn Glow!

IMG_3635

A bright, vibrant highlighter palette to turn you into the shimmering mythical creature you are!

I got this palette at the same time as my Soph Does Nails eyeshadow palette, as I wanted to get a few brighter shades to add a bit of colour to my looks – whether it be in highlighter or eyeshadow form!

IMG_3641

These highlighters are very pigmented, and have shimmer – not glitter – which is what you want in a highlighter! As the name suggests, these are cool toned shades so add an “icy” feel when used. They’re lovely rainbow shades, and you can use these as an eyeshadow, highlighter or anything else that you want to do as the colours are build-able so you can decide if you want to go subtle or show-stopping.

IMG_3638

This palette reminds me of the Anastasia Beverly Hills Moon Child palette and the Aurora palette – so if you’re looking to get those or a dupe, this is a very budget friendly version- especially when you get eight gorgeous shades.

Bottom Line: A brilliantly vibrant highlighter palette for unleashing your inner unicorn!

So Susan – Cheek Rethink – Powder & Cream Blush Duo – Titian

IMG_4252

A handy blush duo which is perfect for travelling!

The first thing I noticed about this cute duo was the packaging – it is very cute and colourful, and has a lovely in-depth information regarding the product. It states it is a nutrient packed dual blush made with shea butter to help maintain a fade free flawless blush for up to 10 hours- so lets put this baby to the test!

This product is vegan, cruelty free and hypoallergenic and non-comedogenic so it shouldn’t block pores or cause breakouts. I’ve not had any breakouts whilst using this product – which is good as cream products are usually the biggest pore clogging culprits.

IMG_4251

The fomula is very creamy and rich on the cream blusher – which is what I’d expect from a shea butter based product. The cream blusher blends easily and seamlessly so you cannot detect where you’ve first applied it! I’ve found its better to apply with my fingertips by dabbing as the heat warms up the formula and helps blend it. It’s a matte finish which is handy for all looks.

The powder blusher has a lot shimmer in it, so you do not need to use a highlighter when using it, I’d actually pass this blusher off as a pale pink highlighter due to the pigmentation. The shimmer isn’t a chunky, glitter based formula which is perfect for cheeks – nothing worse than chunky glitter cheek products!

The two blushers compliment each other perfectly, and this is a really handy travel compact due to the blend-ability of the blushers and the combinations you can create with them!

I am actually impressed by the pigmentation – the powder blush packs a punch from a single swipe and the cream provides a build-able matte blush. The blushers last a long while – I wouldn’t say 10-hours worth, as I did reapply the blush to the apples of my cheeks once after 4 hours.

Bottom Line: A perfect remedy for quick teeth whitening, especially on the go or for special occasions.

TARTE COSMETICS – Swamp Queen Palette – Grav3yard Girl Collaboration

IMG_2832

Well, well, well, looks like a Queen is reigning!

I have a few Tarte Cosmetics palettes and products, and I have to say, this has become my favourite to travel with. This palette is the perfect face and eye palette due to the complimenting shades of blusher, bronzer, highlighter and eyeshadows.

This palette is the brainchild of Grav3yardGirl, who hopefully you all know of due to her unique and quirky personality, and pays homage to her home state of Texas. The palette has unique shade names such as ‘dogman’, ‘gator wings’, and ‘does this thing really work?’. If you’re wondering, yes it does really work.

IMG_2833

This palette boasts a beautiful gold highlight, which is the most pigmented highlighter I have ever used – it’s literally like painting my face with gold, and I love it.

The blusher is a lovely rosy pink with gold reflect shimmer which is perfect as standalone as the shimmer is eye catching enough, or team it up with the gold highlight for ultimate glow!

The bronzer is a lovely warm brown shade, which is sadly slightly orange, so use it sparingly and not as your base contour otherwise you’ll end up a gilded tangerine…

IMG_2836

This palette has nine incredible eye shadow shades, which have been displayed horizontally in complimentary trios. They are made up of two light neutral matte shades and seven shimmering shadows in warm toned plums, browns and oranges. Together they are a lovely selection of base, crease and lid shades to mix and match or use the complimentary shades for your desired look. The palette also comes with a soft, closely packed brown eye shadow brush which is handy for adding the shimmer shadows to your look, as opposed to blending the shades!

IMG_3481

Bottom Line: Lovely, warm toned, highly pigmented eye shadow shades to create a vast array of everyday looks, or darken with the smokey shades for glam nighttime looks when teamed up with the complimentary blusher, bronzer and highligher. This is the ultimate travel palette!

ZOEVA – SPECTRUM PALETTE – Contour Spectrum

FullSizeRender

An awesome starter palette for contouring.

I’ve been looking for a powder contour palette that can easily fit in my bag for on the go contouring, so after my brilliant experience with the Zoeva Blush palette I decided to grab this one!

This contour has two brown shades for contouring, a yellow setting powder for brightening and a pearlescent champagne highlight. The powders are all very pigmented and easy to blend with a brush or a sponge, giving good coverage and depth. The dark brown contouring shades have a warm and cool tone so you’re able to mix and match them to suit your complexion.

The only gripe I have with this palette is that the lighter shade is very sparkly so its best to use as a “glow” highlight rather than a contouring base highlight. This means that I can’t just carry this in my bag for all my contour needs as I still need a lighter matte powder shade.

Bottom Line: Good for a basic contour shade, but if you want to have one definitive palette for contouring, look elsewhere….
