PCOS, Period Pain and My Wellness Routine: What’s Been Helping Me Feel More Balanced | Guides & Rituals

Navigating PCOS has been a journey for me – one that’s required a lot more patience, understanding, and finding what genuinely works for my body.

If you’re someone dealing with PCOS and looking for gentle, realistic ways to manage symptoms like period pain, energy levels and overall balance, these are the things that have been helping me recently.

Living with PCOS (Polycystic Ovary Syndrome) isn’t something that looks the same for everyone, and I’ve found that the biggest shift for me has been focusing on consistency over intensity.

Rather than trying to fix everything at once, I’ve started to build a routine that supports my body in a more gradual, sustainable way – especially when it comes to managing period pain, energy levels and hormonal balance.

Managing period pain in a more targeted way

One of the biggest challenges for me with PCOS has been dealing with period pain and cramps, particularly during the first few days when everything feels more intense.

Instead of only relying on general pain relief, I wanted to find something that felt more targeted and supportive. I’ve recently been using CBD tampons from Daye, which are designed to deliver CBD locally rather than systemically.

With PCOS, stress levels and cortisol can play a role in how your body responds, and I’ve found that pushing myself too hard can sometimes have the opposite effect.

That’s why I’ve been prioritising lower-impact movement like reformer Pilates, which feels strengthening without being overwhelming, and always leaves me feeling more balanced and reset.

I’ve also been using a walking pad at home, which has made it much easier to stay consistent with movement throughout the day.


That steady, low-intensity approach supports things like blood sugar balance and overall energy levels, without adding unnecessary stress on the body. For me, it’s been less about intensity and more about consistency – and that shift has made a noticeable difference.

Supporting my body from the inside

I’ve also been focusing more on internal support, particularly when it comes to supplements and overall nutrition.
