Eco Tools – Perfecting Blender Duo Makeup Sponges

FullSizeRender_1

Beautiful, eco-friendly makeup sponges that are a dynamic duo.

These sponges come in a two pack, with a larger sponge for achieving light, build-able coverage and a smaller Mini Detail blender for precise coverage.

The large blender is the best I find wet, but you can use this sponge dry, as you can bounce it over your product for an airbrush finish. The smaller one I prefer to use dry as I can use it for my concealer to create a heavy coverage.

These sponges are PETA certified and 100% Vegan, so these are a great quality animal friendly alternative to the other leading brands.

Bottom Line: Extremely affordable, soft sponges which work as well as some higher end beauty blending sponges – at a fraction of the cost! What’s not to love?!

LOVE ME BEAUTY – APRIL 2016 – IN FULL BLOOM EDIT

This month’s collection included brands such as Eco Tools, AMIE, Perricone MD, Ellis Fass, Caudalie, Ultrasun and Kat Von D Beauty.

FullSizeRender

This month I decided to go all out and get myself a mix of the brands! I snapped up the Eco Tools Perfecting Blender Duo for 20 credits straight away as I couldn’t let a steal like that get away! (It’s usually £9.99 RRP)

For my other beauty treats this month, I chose the Ellis Faas Lip colours in 4 tubes for 10 credits. This pack contained a tube of lipstick in four shades; a lovely bright red , a bright hot pink, a deep vamp red and a dark purple. I was also able to another Kat Von D Tattoo Liner in Trooper for 15 credits!

I went a bit ‘skincare’ mad this month and grabbed the Dr Bragi Marine Enzyme Face mask for 20 credits, as I have seen so much about it on other beauty blogs. I also got these two adorable sample sized Purifying face wash and Matte Finish Moisturiser from AMIE for 5 credits (so cheap I had to!).

Other items on the shop for this edit that I opted out on were numerous Eco Tool brush sets, Living Proof hair products, Caudalie skincare items, and Kat Von D’s Everlasting Lipstick in Outlaw. You can shop the edit’s full boutique here!

Love Me Beauty – January 2016 – Under The Spotlight Edit

This month’s collection included brands such as Benefit, Lord & Berry, Make Up For Ever, Nuxe and Laura Mercier.

I decided to treat myself to a deluxe Benefit’s Roller Lash as I’ve heard so much about it and wanted to give it a go! This Benefit goody was 15 Credits, which meant I could afford several other treats!

For my other beauty treat I selected Make Up For Ever’s Mat lipstick in Artist Rouge, which was 20 credits, and is a classic, bold red. I was also able to grab a full sized Seta eye shadow in the shade Sunflower from Lord & Berry which has incredible colour pay off!

For my final item I opted for the Love Me Beauty mini blending sponge for highlights in Neon Yellow. My beauty box was so bright this month!

Love Me Beauty – November 2016 – Edit

img_5247

This month’s collection included brands such as Kat Von D, BareMinerals, Make Up For Ever, Nuxe and Eco Tools.

I decided to treat myself to a deluxe version of Kat Von D’s Everlasting Lipstick in Outlaw again – needed another one for my handbag! This amazing treat was only 20 credits! They also had Kat Von D’s Studded Kiss in Magick and her Tattoo Liner in Trooper. These two were also 20 credits so if I chose to I could have had a lovely makeup back stocked up with these three treats.

For my other beauty treats I decided to get the Eco Tools Makeup Brush Cleansing Cloths and the Eco Tools Blending Brush! These cloths are perfect for a quick post makeup application clean or if you’re switching eye shades, but not a suitable alternative to deep cleansing your brushes!

I also opted in for two deluxe samples of some BareMinerals products, including their Lash Domination and Skinlongevity.

Other items on the shop for this edit that I opted out on were Benefit’s Porefessional primer and Roller Lash mascara, Tangle Teezer’s Thick Hair Brush, Make Up For Ever’s Artist Rouge Mat lipstick and Aqua XL Matte Black Liner, Nuxe’s skincare collection. You can shop the edit’s full boutique here!

#MOTD: Harley Quinn

img_4269

This is my makeup I wore for my Halloween shift in work – we were doing a fancy dress competition! Seeings as I’m the store manager of an entertainment and gaming store I decided to go as Dr Harleen Quinzel aka Harley Quinn from Suicide Squad.

For my foundation I used the NYX Angel Veil primer to prime my skin ready, and used my NYX Stay Matte Not Flat in Ivory as my base. I used my Bourjois’ Blur The Lines concealer in Ivory under my eyes and as my highlighter. I set my concealer and foundation using my Rimmel Stay Matte pressed powder in Transparent. To add my glow, I used my NYX Strobe of Genius palette to highlight using the purple shimmery shade, 3rd shade clockwise from top left, along my cheekbones, nose, cupids bow and temples.

For my eyes I first used my Urban Decay eye shadow primer to ensure the shadows didn’t crease during my shift. I mainly used the pink and blues from my MUA Poptastic palette, which is £4 – available here.

Formy dark pink eye I used my Kat Von D’s Everlasting Liquid Lipstick  in Outlaw and blended it out, and layered the bright pink shade from my MUA palette over it and blended that out too. I used all four blues in the MUA palette for my other eye, and blended them together to get the correct bright blue that Harley wears. I used my Kat Von D Inked Liner in Trooper to do a standard winged liner to add definition to my eyes, and used Benefit’s Badgal lash eyeliner on my waterline and lower lash line.

img_4256

I added my falsies – this time it was my EYLURE X CHERYL – Girls Night Strip lash – review here! I used my Urban Decay Perversion mascara to make my eyelashes blend. For my eyebrows I opted to not draw them in as Harley’s are more natural looking so instead I used L’Oreal’s Brow Artist Plumper in Dark to define and set them without going over top.

I used my Kat Von D Inked eyeliner in Trooper to draw my heart and ‘Rotten’ on to my face – both set with a fine brush and Blackout from my Naked 2 palette.

My lipstick is the ultimate matte lipstick my Kat Von D Everlasting Liquid Lipstick in Outlaw – my  favourite blood orange/red shade. I set it all using my Urban Decay All Nighter Setting Spray – to hold it all in place during my 9.5hr shift!

Eco Tools Day To Night Set

fullsizerender_2

Amazingly soft,  perfect contouring and highlighting eco friendly brushes!

As with all of the other Eco Tool brushes I have tried, these are unbelievably soft! This set is designed to help you transition your neutral day makeup into a highlighted, contoured glamorous look!

These brushes are full sized, clean easy and do not lose their softness or shape. The quality is astounding – I’ve yet to have any fibre breakages and I’ve had these for a few months now!

The fan brush is my favourite for applying my powdered highlighters as it picks up enough to allow you to build your glow -rather than applying it heavy from the get go! The set includes an angled contour brush, a tapered point concealer, an eye shadow brush, and a detailed lip/eyeliner brush – as well a cute handy bag to keep them all in!

Bottom Line: This is a budget friendly set to transition your day makeup into nightclub ready glamour!

Eco Tools Essential Eye Set

fullsizerender_1

Cute, surprisingly soft eco friendly travel sized eye brushes!

I was pleasantly surprised with the quality of these brushes due to their price – they are incredibly soft and pick up pigments exceedingly well!

These brushes are travel sized – so shorter handle – and come with a cute bag to keep them in! They’re the perfect size for a handbag and easily portable for smokey-ing up your eye makeup for post work drinks.

These are easy to clean and there isn’t any loss of softness or quality from doing so.

Bottom Line:  Extremely affordable, soft travel sized brushes which work as well as some higher end brushes – at a fraction of the cost! What’s not to love?!
