ANASTASIA BEVERLY HILLS – Blush Kit Palette – Radiant

FullSizeRender_2

Anastasia’s beautiful foursome of stunning blusher shades.

After falling in love with Anastasia Beverly Hill’s Modern Renaissance and their contour palette, I decided to snap this palette up when I bought their Sugar Glow Kit. I’m so glad I did! I was umm-ing and arr-ing about which one to get seeings as they have a large amount of shades of blush to choose from in their triplet sets, but I decided to grab this Blush Kit to get the quad of colours.

This kit boasts an array of pink and coral hues with added shimmer! The best thing about these shades is the fact you can mix them together to create your own peachy summer glow, or your own Barbie Pink blush.

The powdered blush are so easy to blend and apply, you can really customise your shade by layering the different blushes or use them stand-alone. They’re also very pigmented, as with most of the Anastasia Beverly Hills cosmetics!

Bottom Line: The colours are gorgeous and the powder formula is so easy to use and blend!

ZOEVA – SPECTRUM PALETTE – Contour Spectrum

FullSizeRender

An awesome starter palette for contouring.

I’ve been looking for a powder contour palette that can easily fit in my bag for on the go contouring, so after my brilliant experience with the Zoeva Blush palette I decided to grab this one!

This contour has two brown shades for contouring, a yellow setting powder for brightening and a pearlescent champagne highlight. The powders are all very pigmented and easy to blend with a brush or a sponge, giving good coverage and depth. The dark brown contouring shades have a warm and cool tone so you’re able to mix and match them to suit your complexion.

The only gripe I have with this palette is that the lighter shade is very sparkly so its best to use as a “glow” highlight rather than a contouring base highlight. This means that I can’t just carry this in my bag for all my contour needs as I still need a lighter matte powder shade.

Bottom Line: Good for a basic contour shade, but if you want to have one definitive palette for contouring, look elsewhere….

ANASTASIA BEVERLY HILLS – Glow Kit – Moonchild

Amazing quality and value – a little highlight goes a long way!

I decided to get this palette as I’m a huge ABH Glow Kit fan, ever since I glanced at one in Sephora! This one is the same high quality, and high pigmented that is standard for ABH cosmetics.

The colours are all pastel, with some duo-chromatic shades such as Blue Ice. They’re amazing to use as highlights or as some light, shimmery eye-shadows. The shades are very pigmented, so a little goes a long way, and can create unique galactic looks.

Bottom Line: An amazing glow kit for out of this world highlight – but sadly I’m still obsessed with my Nicole G kit and prefer that for day-to-day glow!

This kit boasts an array of golden browns and cute pink sand shades, as well as a piercing white with blue reflect! The best thing about these shades is the fact you can mix them together to create your own peachy summer highlight, or your golden goddess glow! Forever Young and Kitty Kat are my favourites to mix at the moment!

Anastasia Beverly Hills – Cream Contour Kit – Fair

FullSizeRender(9)

An easy blend-able contour kit that is perfect for all different contoured looks from slightly sun-kissed to deeply bronzed.

This is my first ever high-end contour kit, and it is now a staple for all of my foundation and contour needs. I decided to get the kit in fair, to ensure that it isn’t too dark as I rarely do strong contouring for my daily MOTD.

This kit comes with six shades, meaning you can blend the shades for the perfect match;

  • Soft Light – Great for highlighting.
  • Lustre – Perfect for strobing.
  • Fair – Great for concealing.
  • Fawn – Ideal for contouring.
  • Shadow – Designed for shading.
  • Mink – Provides the ultimate shading and definition.

The cream consistency makes it incredibly easy to blend, allowing you to create a build-able contour for whatever your style. It isn’t oily to apply, and doesn’t oxidise – meaning the colours stay the correct shade and doesn’t turn you into a bright orange oompa-loompa!

There is a lot of product in the pans – which makes it feel good value for money, and these kits come in various shades to match any skin tone.

Bottom Line: Amazing quality and value – a little goes a long way!
