GERARD COSMETICS – HYDRA MATTE LIQUID LIPSTICK – Mile High

Mile High

This is an amazingly easy to apply, long-lasting, creamy liquid lipstick!

This lipstick, has the ultimate staying power – giving a vivid lip mocha blush colour for at least 6 hours.

This lipstick is one of the easiest I’ve ever had to apply, and with just one dip it provides great coverage –  and it doesn’t smudge your already applied part causing it to go patchy! It lasted three re-coats before it got clumpy and started to flake. It can withstand eating and drinking to with only minimal touch up – I was able to devour a three course meal and it still looked presentable!

Bottom Line: Gerard Cosmetics have just created the holy grail of liquid lipsticks! Thoroughly worth the higher price due to the amazing quality and easibility of applying with the built in wand!

Benefit Cosmetics – Do The Hoola – Bronze Kit

IMG_1581

The ultimate kit for turning your winter in to a bronzed season!

I decided to buy this kit to keep my Rhodes glow into the cold, dreary winter months – and boy is it good!

This kit boasts a selection of travel and handbag friendly deluxe minis of the various best sellers and new Dew The Hoola products. In this kit you get the following:

The Hoola bronzer is a mini version of the standard one, with 3gms of product compared to the larger 8gms – but there’s still a lot of product in there. It’s a very travel friendly version as its a solid plastic case – rather than the flimsy plastic casing sometimes found on the mini deluxe versions, and comes with a cute brush! (Brush is sadly prone to having bristles fall out – boo!)

The Benebalm is the deluxe version you get from Benefit’s mix and match which is usually around £5 on its own. The other Dew the Hoola items and the Hoola lip gloss are also deluxe mini sizes, which are perfect if you’re not too into bronzing but would just like to touch up a summer tan – or to trial before committing to a larger size with a higher price tag.

Bottom Line: Brilliant kit for trialling out the new Dew The Hoola range of bronzing items or composing a travel makeup bag.

Price: £24.95 from Benefit Cosmetics

Rating: **** (The brush bristles falling out on every use is a big no-no for me!)

Serenity Facials – Hydro-Feel Mask – PR

FullSizeRender

A blemish battling, skin softening hydrating face mask!

I was gifted this from Serenity Facials in return for my honest review on this product, and they also threw in a cute silicon face mask applicator brush!

So, first impressions; I thought this looked like a standard face mask from the consistency and then I was hit with a pleasant mint aroma – which is from the added peppermint essential oil, which adds a lovely menthol cooling effect to the mask on application. The mask is perfect for those with blemishes as it isn’t drying and contains honey which is a natural anti-bacterial agent. Yay, nature!

It has Dead Sea mineral mud in it to draw out impurities that could cause blemishes, as well as coconut oil to increase the anti-bacterial properties! Basically, this mask is so jammed packed with nutrients, vitamins and anti-bacterial agents to combat any spots – and it doesn’t dry your skin out due to hydrating natural oils and butters it contains.

As you know I have combination skin, which is either dry as hell or oily on my T-zone, and this has managed to combat each section without exacerbating my skin conditions! I love to use this currently on any rogue spots.

What I love the most about  this mask is that it does not dry and is removed with a damp cloth and leaves your skin feeling silky smooth. One of the reasons I do not usually get on with face masks, especially clay masks, is because they tend to over dry my skin when they harden and dry up – which in turn causes damage to my skin and more spots!

Bottom Line: If you’re hesitant to trying clay face masks due to the drying nature of them and often find that your skins gets worse or red after using them – give this a go. It never dries so your skin is never tightened, or irritated!

Lush – Toner Water – Eau Roma Water

FullSizeRender_1

An incredibly refreshing, lavender and rose water toner spray!

This is my first go at a Lush toner water spray! They have numerous ones to choose from – a tea tree one, a sea breeze aloe vera one, and this lavender and rose water one.

I decided to take this one as its boasted as “aromatherapy in a spray” due to the lavender and rose water – and it is soothing and relaxing. I love using this before bed due to the lavender soothing nature. The rose water helps to calm any redness where as the lavender water, as well as soothe, balances the skin.

I have used this bottle for two weeks, and I am very excited to purchase the big version when it runs out. It has helped keep my skin matte for longer – I sometimes get very oily after toning and cleansing my skin. It also helps moisturise my skin which helps me with my morning routines.

Bottom Line: Aromatherapy and toning all in one magnificent bottle!

ANASTASIA BEVERLY HILLS – Glow Kit – Moonchild

IMG_1812

Amazing quality and value – a little highlight goes a long way!

I decided to get this palette as I’m a huge ABH Glow Kit fan, ever since I glanced at one in Sephora! This one is the same high quality, and high pigmented that is standard for ABH cosmetics.

IMG_1804

The colours are all pastel, with some duo-chromatic shades such as Blue Ice. They’re amazing to use as highlights or as some light, shimmery eye-shadows. The shades are very pigmented, so a little goes a long way, and can create unique galactic looks.

Bottom Line: An amazing glow kit for out of this world highlight – but sadly I’m still obsessed with my Nicole G kit and prefer that for day-to-day glow!
