Abibu London – Nutra-Revitalising Moisturiser – HydraVictuals – PR

A nutrient full, light moisturiser that hydrates skins!

I was very lucky to receive this product from Abibu London for me to review for my followers  – Please note I received this complimentary!

This moisturiser is part of Abibu’s revolutionary take on modern skincare, ensuring that their products in their new HydraVictuals range are full of nutritious ingredients that have scientific evidence of their beneficial properties – it isn’t some hokum whizzed up in a bottle on a false promise, it’s an elegant blend of luxury and science.

My first impressions of the product is how well presented it is in it’s box, it looks good and sleek and extremely presentable. The jar itself looks chic, a bold clean white with pink and chrome accents making it look very sophisticated on your vanity or nightstand. It’s made of a light plastic making it easy to travel with compared with glass jars that you find with other products – saving vital luggage weight for other makeup…

This moisturiser is packed full of plant extracts, vitamins C and E, anti-oxidants, biotin, collagen, and zinc – making a treat for your skin and senses – it smells delicious, light floral with a soothing calm and not overpowering which is what I like in my products as fragrance can cause irritation!

I have been using this moisturiser for a month to ensure I could get the best impression of the moisturiser before writing this review. I was very shocked at how easily this product sunk into my skin considering the thick appearance of the moisturiser, it has a souffle texture within the jar. It’s amazing watching it melt at the touch of my body heat – creating a soft, smooth and hydrated finale for my skincare routine.

I’ve found it creates a taut feeling to my skin making it feel instantly rejuvenated and plumped. The hydration is brilliant – as you guys are aware I suffer from combi/dry skin and find some products knock my skins balance and can cause oiliness/breakouts – this however just adds the right amount of hydration without the breakouts as it isn’t oily so doesn’t clog up my pores.

I’ve been preferring to use it underneath my primer, or even without primer, as I have found it to sit well and doesn’t create an oily base meaning my makeup is not affected by the product and remains long-wearing. I’ve also found my makeup does not react with the ingredients as some moisturisers can speed up the oxidation of my foundation.

Bottom Line: Became a staple in my routine, even to the point of replacing my GlamGlow Glowstarter!!

ANATOMICALS – Face Masks – Anti-Blemish and Mattifying Face Masks – PR

FullSizeRender (1)

Two cleansing face masks, that will de-grease and get rid of blemishes!

I received these products in return for my honest review – so here it is!

I decided to use these face masks together, as I had great success using the exfoliating and calming one together for an intense cleaning routine, and thought they would compliment each other nicely!

The anti-blemish mask is made up of tea tree oil, sage oil and primrose oil which soothes and calms the skin whilst removing dirt and blocked pores. This mask hasn’t got any exfoliating properties, so it wasn’t drying or abrasive but instead the oils helped deliver moisture to my skin. It did clean some of my blackheads on my nose but didn’t do much for my chin area, which was disappointing as my chin area is usually my breakout zone.

Due to the three different oils in the anti-blemish face mask, I wanted to ensure that all excess oil would be removed from my skin as excess oil for me causes a lot of whiteheads, therefore I used the clarifying mask after!

This clarifying mask uses enriched oat protein to revitalise and hydrate skin, as well as regulating excess oils giving a shine-free, matte bright complexion. This mask was very, very good! It’s either a win or fail for me with clarifying products – either it strips off too much oil, causing dryness and skin irritation or it delivers my desired results – there is no in-between. This luckily was the latter and delivered me a shine free, clear face which the following day, was not oily which reduced my breakouts overnight. I highly recommend this for anyone suffering with oily skin and related breakouts.

Bottom Line: A budget friendly face mask, that’s is a spot busting superhero leaving a shine free, oily face!

ANATOMICALS – Face Masks – Apricot Face Scrub & Calming Algae Face Mask – PR

FullSizeRender

Two cleansing face masks, that will whip and caress your skin into shape!

I received this product in return for my honest review – so here it is!

I decided to use these face masks together, as I often find that any exfoliating scrub can cause my skin to get dry and angry, and apricot seed scrubs are the biggest culprits!

The apricot scrub smelt delightful, and it was very easy to use and apply it, in this packets there’s more than enough for your first application and I saved a bit to use for another day on my problem areas. The mask wasn’t as gritty as I was expecting – which is very good – I’ve found with others it’s so bitty it hurts to exfoliate with it. It was very easy to remove with a damp, warm flannel and left my skin feeling soft, yet nourished – which was a surprise as scrubs usually leave my skin screaming for moisturiser!

The calming algae face mask was soothing to my freshly exfoliated skin, reducing my redness and delivering moisture to my skin. It calmed my redness a lot more than I expected it to, usually I’m Rudolph for the next few hours – this on the other hand made my redness fade within half an hour – so I will definitely be re-purchasing this for when my redness is in overload!

Bottom Line: A budget friendly face mask, that’s very high performing!

Anatomicals – Eye Patches – Puffy The Eye Bag Slayer

FullSizeRender (12)

A burst of moisture to perk up your eyes!

I received this product in return for my honest review – so here it is!

These eye patches are a lot like the TonyMoly Panda’s Dream Eye Patches, but the consistency is more like jelly, an its 3 to a pack making them each mask half the price of the Panda Patches! Instead of turning you into a panda, these patches have a nerdy name – loving the Buffy reference!

These patches are a jelly, white semi oval that you place under your eyes. It takes 30 minutes for the moisture to seep in and plump up your under eye area, creating an instant lift. They work on the same principle as the Panda Patches, they’re jammed packed with vitamin B3 to minimise fine lines and wrinkles to keep you looking fresh and youthful.  It’s this intense hydration that helps to ‘plump’ and brighten the delicate skin around the eyes!

Bottom Line: Seriously slays those eye bags!

Price: £6 at Superdrug

TONYMOLY – PANDA’S DREAM – Eye Patch

FullSizeRender

An adorable dose of Korean Skincare to rejuvenate the eyes.

I decided to try out the  Panda’s Dream eye patches after trying the other item from the Panda’s Dream So Cool… Stick and the Moisture Gel Cream, and needed a pick up from my recent late nights!

I’ve ended up with dark circles so wanted to treat myself one night, so I sat down with my glass of Prosecco and popped these two bad boys on! The patches themselves are fibre and black, making you look like a panda! It’s adorable!

The patches are saturated in bamboo shoot extract and vitamin B3 to minimise fine lines and wrinkles to keep you looking fresh and youthful.  It’s this intense hydration that helps to ‘plump’ and brighten the delicate skin around the eyes!

Bottom Line: A lovely burst of freshness, and plumping action to banish dark circles and brighten the under eye area!
