OMOROVICZA – Facial Mist – Queen of Hungary Mist

IMG_4672

A refreshing mist to revive your tired out skin, with a cosy scent!

I got this as part of my Discovery Set along with my other Omorovicza goodies – you can find my first impressions review of the Discovery Kit here.

Firstly, I must point out how lovely the scent is. It is a warm, comforting, slightly citrus scent reminiscent of the other Omorovicza skincare items. The mist on this is insane – its not even a spritz or spray, it is like a puff of moisture that douses my skin in moisture. The spray is so fine to allow your skin to absorb it whilst refusing to get drenched – I have found the spritz on my other sprays, such as my Gerard Cosmetics Setting Spray, to be large and clumpy and I’m often drenched after a few light sprays.

You can use this as a moisturising primer before makeup, or a setting spray to add a dewy finish! It’s also perfect for having in your handbag to freshen up your makeup as the day goes on, or to use on makeup-less skin for a quick pick me up! I have this in my bag if I’m travelling as I can retreat to a restroom and spritz up to feel comfortably refreshed.

Bottom Line: A lovely scented refreshing facial spray that can revive your skin after a long day., or add a boost of hydration in your morning skin routine.

Omorovicza – The Discovery Kit – First Impressions

IMG_4259

The perfect kit to introduce you to the skincare brand from Budapest!

I was lucky enough to get this kit from my partners parents as a Christmas present this year, as they know I’m into my skincare and make-up! They weren’t too sure if I liked the brand, so decided to get me the Discovery Kit so I can try a bit of everything the brand has to offer.

This kit includes the following;

I’ve tried Omorovicza before and you can find my previous reviews here, and I will be using and reviewing each of the items over the next few weeks so keep your eyes open!

IMG_4258

This kit is the perfect, budget friendly way, to try out this brand and see whether it is perfect for your skin! I am amazed by the generous sizes of the products – they’re not deluxe samples, their travel friendly sizes!

Bottom Line: The full size versions of these items range from £25-£85, so the fact you get a large amount of each product for just £59 – it makes it such a good deal!

GLAMGLOW – GLOWSTARTER Mega Illuminating Moisturiser – Nude Glow

FullSizeRender

A beautiful hydrating illuminator!

This is my first time delving in to the GLAMGLOW world, as I’ve often been sceptical of their products due to the heavy use of Influencers to push their items. But I was on holiday and had a few euros left, and thought what the heck!

These moisturisers smell UNBELIEVABLE, I use it some days purely to bask in the scent! It gives an all over glow, with a hint of nude colouring to even out my skin tone (I have redness occasionally around my nose). As I was in Sephora I was able to try out the other versions – Pearl Glow, which is a paler shell coloured version, with white reflects, and Sunkissed Glow, which is a darker colour with more golden glow.

FullSizeRender_1

It hydrates really well, and sits under foundation extremely well – you can also mix it with your foundation to create a glowy base. It preforms well for what you pay for – it hydrates, doesn’t cause any breakouts, and helps add a healthy looking glow – which helped keeping my natural holiday tan once I got home!

The only thing I really disliked about this product is the shine! Oh lord, did it make my face shiny! Most times when I wore it on its own as a little skin pep, I had to dust my face with translucent powder just to make my skin matte – but I’ve now see that GLAMGLOW has released a new version that is a matte finish – so I will be purchasing that one once this version is empty!

Bottom Line: Adds a beautiful glow, but at the cost of a shiny face! Lovely as a base to your foundation for healthy glow.

GK Naturals – Facial Oil – Balancing Face Oil – PR

IMG_2408

A gentle, moisturising concoction of natural essential oils.

I was gifted this from GK Naturals in return for my honest review on this product – so here it is!

I’ve used this as part of my skincare routine in numerous ways – after a skin mask, after toning and cleansing and before my primer for my makeup applications. I have noticed that unlike other facial oils – it doesn’t cause me to break out. It’s skin quenching but not greasy and it smells so yummy and it’s a nice pre-bed aromatherapy treat.

The oil contains numerous essential oils from natural sources such as Lavender, Petitgrain, Grapefruit, Chamomile, Argan, Apricot, Rose Hip, Grapeseed, and Sea Buctorn Oils. This unique mix of oils creates an antiseptic and astringent dose of goodness that helps balance and prevent blemishes – so if acne is a big trouble for you or you get break-outs in your oily T-Zone then this facial oil is perfect for you.

The oils are all natural and contain no animal by-products, and the company is anti animal cruelty and animal testing – making this oil good for your skin and good for animals! Yay!

Bottom Line: The first facial oil that hasn’t caused me to break out over prolonged use! Brilliantly moisturising and a lovely aromatherapy treat as well!

Byron Bay Skincare – Blemish Gel

fullsizerender2

Blemish gel that really packs a gentle, vegan spot fighting punch!

This blemish gel is a part of Byron Bay Skincare’s Clear Skin System, and its been a godsend these days in battling my cystic acne that I get on my chin and along my jawline.

The gel is formulated from tea tree oil and willow bark extract to naturally and gently, reduce inflammation and clear pores. The gel is also vegan and cruelty free! This gel is sticky to apply – but dries to leave a non-sticky tea tree punch to spots and other blemishes.

I use this under my foundation on my spot prone areas, or current breakouts, and it hasn’t changed how my foundation applies or how it looks. It also acts as a barrier so that if I have any open spots – they don’t get clogged with my makeup!

I’ve found by using one pump, about the size of a small pea, each morning and night along my chin and jawline my spots have healed, and disappeared – reducing their re-occurrence as well! I’ve also noticed my hard cyst spots have softened and started to heal – which is a relief as they often cause me a lot of pain.

Bottom Line: A brilliant blemish gel that harnesses natural ingredients to gently combat spots!

Price: £18.99 from Byron Bay Skincare.

Byron Bay Skincare – Clear Skin System

img_4410

This is a great skin clearer that is good for your skin and the environment!

I stumbled upon Byron Bay Skincare on Instagram and decided to give their Clear Skin System a go!

This system consists of a gel cleanser, hydrating lotion and blemish gel to target and treat any skin blemishes. All of these items are vegan and cruelty free – and for every bottle you buy they plant a tree! So its not only kind to your skin – its kind to the environment and animals!

My first impressions of this set was how fast it was delivered and how lovely the packaging is! Secondly, how incredible the scents are – the hydrating lotion consists of locally source Davidson plums so it has a fruity scent, whereas the blemish gel is made from tea tree so you get a lovely waft of it when applying.

The gel cleanser lathers beautifully and you can feel how clean your skin is – without the drying feeling I’ve had from other cleansers. A lot goes a long way with the Hydrating lotion – half a pump is enough to cover my face and neck – I can’t get over the smell, its so lovely and reminds me of jam! The blemish gel is a bit sticky to apply – but dries insanely fast and doesn’t leave a weird texture on my skin after its applied.

You can use the blemish gel under makeup – it didn’t affect how my primer or foundation went on – so I was able to combat my spots whilst wearing makeup.

This system has cleared my skin up considerably and has allowed me to use less makeup to cover my blemishes!

Bottom Line: My new favourite skin care routine!

Price: £51.99 from Byron Bay Skincare.

img_3446

These are the makeup wipes sent down from the heavens!

These Johnson’s face care range of wipes are truly incredible. They can take off my Kat Von D Everlasting Lipstick in one quick wipe, and get rid of a full face of makeup in less than five minutes!

These wipes come in a wide range of types, such as Pampering , Refreshing and Extra-Sensitive.  They leave a slightly oily feel on your skin but I get it taken off using my toner, which I then moisturise and it leaves my skin matte and fresh!

Bottom Line: Secret weapon for getting makeup off in one swift wipe!

Pixi Nourishing Lip Polish

fullsizerender

With it’s built in silicon applicator – this is a handbag must have for lip TLC.

I was able to get this little gem in my Love Me Beauty box (discount code here!). It is a nourishing, massaging treatment for your lips that is gentle and helps buff away the old skin cells allowing you to have flawless lipstick application.

What I love about this product is the built in silicon brush applicator – the soft, flexible tip allows you to slowly and gently massage away the dead skin. You can leave the formula on for a moisture rich treatment post exfoliation, or you can wipe it off ready to apply your lip colour.

The only downside I have with this product is that I like to wash everything I use when it comes to exfoliating, to ensure I’m cleaning away anything that can spread bacteria! As the tip isn’t detachable to ensure thorough cleaning, it makes me feel a bit uneasy re-using as I can only cleanse the visible parts.

Other than that, it always leaves my lips soft and moisturised – ready for my liquid lipstick!

Bottom Line: Nourishes and exfoliates your lips. You can leave it on for a moisture rich treatment or use the built in silicon brush buff away dead skin before applying your favourite liquid lipstick!

A Summer in Paris!

img_3117

As a few of you know, I was able to spend part of my summer living it up in sunny Paris! During my stay I did the typical touristy things like hitting up Disneyland Paris and the Eiffel Tower – but managed to do a few other things during my visit.

I’ve been to Paris a lot in my lifetime, but it was amazing to visit when I’ve got a new appreciation of city life. I enjoyed using the Metro and train services – something that I never have done before! It was fun buying a Mobilis ticket, which allowed me unlimited travel on all services, I took full advantage of this and took the cable car down from the Sacre Coeur!

img_3104

I was able to hit up so many tourist spots in one day from my travel pass, zipping all over the city and clocking up some cardio in between! Climbing up the Eiffel Tower was some cardio indeed that I felt warranted a chocolatey Cornetto at the top as a reward…

img_3121

I enjoyed shopping along the Champs-Élysées and spending all of my money on the first day in Sephora buying a haul of new beauty goodies, but “When in Paris!” they say…

img_2782

Absolute heaven!
