Makeup Revolution – Brow Pomade – Blonde

IMG_7707

A pigmented, easy to blend brow pomade to get your brows on fleek!

Recently I decided to change colour of my brow pomade to something lighter for the Summer months as my hair has gone lighter and my previous Anastasia Beverly Hills DipBrow pomade was getting too dark. I found this look-alike pomade from Makeup Revolution when I bought the stunning Abracadabra pressed glitter palette!

When comparing the consistency of the pomade compared to the DipBrow, they’re very similar – they’re both highly pigmented so a lot goes a long way, and their very easy to blend to allow for a flawless brow transition. If you’re looking for a temporary shade, then I do recommend this brow pomade, as it’s a very good dupe of the cult favourite ABH DipBrow. But, if you’re looking to get one for long-term use I’d recommend investing in the DipBrow, as its longevity is astounding.

IMG_7706

One thing I’ve noticed is for a blonde shade it is close to a medium brown in ABH terms, but due to the limited 6 shades Makeup Revolution has compared to the 11 shades that ABH boast, make sure you do a colour check in store to get the closest match! Plus side – this one is vegan!

What I do love from this kit is the brush that you get included – it doesn’t look like much but its a handy, on the go, applicator which isn’t half bad considering the actual cost of this pomade! It comes with an angled brush end, and a flat brush end, the latter of which is perfect for cleaning up the brow with concealer!

Bottom Line: Amazing quality, pigmentation, and a brilliant DipBrow dupe at a fraction of the cost!

MAKEUP REVOLUTION LONDON – Highlighter& Eyeshadow Palette– Good As Gold

IMG_4522

A beautiful golden brown collection with stunning shimmery highlights.

I snapped this palette up alongside my other Makeup Revolution London palettes. This palette caught my eye due to the glittering gold shades of eyeshadows, and the fact it has four complimentary highlighter shades!

These eyeshadow shades are very pigmented and the shimmery shades do not contain chunky glitter. With beautiful neutral matte base shades, and dark transitional shades this is a perfect all in one palette for created gilded looks. There’s different shades of gold to get the glam look you are aiming for whether its subtle, or showstopping!

IMG_4523

You also get four highlighter shades; a bronzed shade, a bright 24K gold shade, a pale champagne gold and a pale pink shade. The golds are shimmery, with fine golden shimmer where as the pink shade is a matte highlighter. The pink shade is absolutely stunning if you don’t want extra shimmer, but still want an eye-catching highlight that is buildable from subtle to glow queen!

Bottom Line: A stunning collection of golden eyeshadows and highlighters!

Makeup Revolution London – Highlighter Palette – Ultra Cool Glow – Unicorn Glow!

IMG_3635

A bright, vibrant highlighter palette to turn you into the shimmering mythical creature you are!

I got this palette at the same time as my Soph Does Nails eyeshadow palette, as I wanted to get a few brighter shades to add a bit of colour to my looks – whether it be in highlighter or eyeshadow form!

IMG_3641

These highlighters are very pigmented, and have shimmer – not glitter – which is what you want in a highlighter! As the name suggests, these are cool toned shades so add an “icy” feel when used. They’re lovely rainbow shades, and you can use these as an eyeshadow, highlighter or anything else that you want to do as the colours are build-able so you can decide if you want to go subtle or show-stopping.

IMG_3638

This palette reminds me of the Anastasia Beverly Hills Moon Child palette and the Aurora palette – so if you’re looking to get those or a dupe, this is a very budget friendly version- especially when you get eight gorgeous shades.

Bottom Line: A brilliantly vibrant highlighter palette for unleashing your inner unicorn!

Makeup Revolution London – Soph Eyeshadow Palette – Soph Does Nails Collaboration

IMG_3621

A stunning vegan palette of on trend shades, at an affordable price!

So, after seeing everyone’s Instagram posts of this stunning palette, I decided to go out and buy it! This would be my first palette I have bought from this brand, as I’ve recently started to stick to premium makeup brands – but this is about to change!

IMG_3625

All I can say is wow! Honestly, from the moment I popped into the store and swatched this beauty of a palette, I fell in love. So much so, I bought two and gave one to my housemate for her to enjoy as well!

The colours are pigmented, and shimmery – not glittery! – which makes their formula so easy to work with and blend. This has now become the makeup palette I travel with as the range of shades, with the different shimmer and matte finishes make it a very versatile palette.

The wide variety of shades, and numerous combinations you can use them in make this one of my ultimate palettes. You can create pink, gold and stunning blue/purple looks just from this single palette which is rare to find, especially with this price tag attached. You can find numerous looks using this palette on my Instagram page, as well as my Snapchat updates!

This palette has definitely persuaded me to check out the entire Makeup Revolution London collection in the future to ensure I get my hands on some quality makeup bargains. Plus this palette is VEGAN!!! Yasssss!

Bottom Line: A versatile, brilliant quality, 24 shade eye-shadow palette perfect for a combination of looks which everyone should get their hands on!

LILY ENGLAND – Makeup Brushes – 4 Piece Face Makeup Brush Set Marble and Rose Gold – PR

FullSizeRender

A beautifully soft brush set that is on trend with the rose gold and marble hype!

I received these brushes complimentary from the amazing folks at Lily England to try out and review for you lovelies!

As you know, I am obsessed with anything rose gold, and even splurged out on the huge Holy Grail Marbleous Brushes from Spectrum Collections, so I was very eager to try these out and see if they’re as good as they look!

In this set you get four brushes they’ve called the ‘Complete Face Set’. The four brushes you get are:

  • F1 – Powder Brush
Large and fluffy, a great all rounder for powder, bronzer, blusher or loose powder foundations
  • F2 – Complexion Foundation Brush
Domed brush for buffing and blending liquid, powder or stick foundations for an air-brushed finish
  • C1 – Contour Brush
Designed to create the perfect contours with powder or cream products
  • C2 – Sculpt & Glow Brush
Tapered brush head perfect for highlighting, setting powder or use in the hollows of your cheek to contour for facial sculpting

I was pleasantly surprised at the quality of these brushes – these are on par with my Spectrum brushes! They’re soft, and high quality – with no bristles falling out on a deep clean – which I always use as a sign of brushes quality as you want something that won’t fall apart after deep cleans! Oh, and they’re VEGAN!

These brushes blended out my foundation, concealer and contour with minimum ease, which is hard to find with certain brushes as I use a mix of liquid, cream and powder formulas! Same goes for the blusher brush – it worked with my Zoeva blusher as well as my cream M.A.C. blushers.

They’ve preformed as well as my usual Spectrum Brushes, and out-preformed my Eco Tool’s brushes – so if you’re on a budget – these are your ultimate tools! Or if you want a set for travel, these are unbelievable to have in your on the go bag!

Bottom Line:  Sturdy, budget friendly, stylish vegan brushes that can tackle any makeup formula with ease to create blended contour on point!

Price: £24.95 at Lily England.

Eco Tools – Perfecting Blender Duo Makeup Sponges

FullSizeRender_1

Beautiful, eco-friendly makeup sponges that are a dynamic duo.

These sponges come in a two pack, with a larger sponge for achieving light, build-able coverage and a smaller Mini Detail blender for precise coverage.

The large blender is the best I find wet, but you can use this sponge dry, as you can bounce it over your product for an airbrush finish. The smaller one I prefer to use dry as I can use it for my concealer to create a heavy coverage.

These sponges are PETA certified and 100% Vegan, so these are a great quality animal friendly alternative to the other leading brands.

Bottom Line: Extremely affordable, soft sponges which work as well as some higher end beauty blending sponges – at a fraction of the cost! What’s not to love?!

Lush – The Kiss Lip Scrub – Valentines 2017

fullsizerender-19

A lovely sweet and salty lip scrub, which tastes as good as it scrubs!

This lip scrub is a vibrant red that leaves a pink tint to your lips. It has a lovely cherry scent but a sherbet-esque sweet and salty taste. It’s quite hard to use as I keep on trying to lick it off my lips- like a devilish doughnut.

It’s perfect for using before a matte/liquid lipstick as it scrubs away all your dead skin and conditions and hydrates your lips all in one -allowing a flawless application of the lipstick. It’s made up of sugar and salt – allowing natural and soft exfoliation. It isn’t harsh, and I even used it on my cut lip and it didn’t hurt or make it worse – it’s very gentle!

This lip scrub is self preserving and vegan! So it is perfect for using for a long while. I’ve been using it twice daily (in the morning and before bed) and I still have loads left!

This one has cute edible little hearts in as it is a Valentines day exclusive! It would make a cute little gift to get lips truly kissable.

Bottom Line:  A sherbet exfoliation extraordinaire!

Price: £5.75 at Lush
(This is a Valentines day special so get it quick!)
