At the event I was greeted in the Pavilions Theatre Bar with a cocktail from their “Time of Your Life” specially themed Cocktail menu. I went for the “I Carried A Watermelon” one, as I cannot get enough of watermelon in this Summer Heat!
I took to my seat for Act One, and as I’ve never seen the film – I KNOW! – I was excited for what was about to happen. Wow! I was simply blown away, being a Dirty Dancing virgin, I wasn’t exactly sure about the plot, or how well it stuck to the movie, I was assured by Emma at EvenAngelsFall.com that it was true to the Hollywood version -so a must see for any Dirty Dancing fan.
The cast was superb and captured the audiences attention as soon as the curtains went up. The music, singing and dancing was more than enough to get me into the mood to try some Dirty Dancing-eque lifts in my living room as soon as I got home. The set design was amazing, and transitions between scenes were smooth and kept the theatre magic alive!
