May 2017 – Favourite Products!

Hi Guys,

Here are my favourite products from the last month, the ones that truly stole my heart!

1)  Anastasia Beverly Hills – Cream Contour Kit in Fair. £39 @
This kit has now become a staple in my makeup bag! The creamy formula makes application a breeze and allows you to blend a lot more than powdered contour kits. I especially like to add my Farsali Rose Gold elixir in to the mix to achieve a dewy finish or to inject more moisture for dried out skin! Full review of this kit is here!

2) Farsali – Rose Gold Elixir. £55 @
Wow! This beauty oil is insane! It’s so hydrating and you can use it in a plethora of ways, which are outlines in my review of it here! It smells divine – its a mix of Rosehip oil, Lemongrass and Orange peel – creating a beautiful citrus scent. These extracts help deliver numerous vitamins that can hydrate your skin whereas the Rosehip oils can help tackle hyper-pigmentation.

3) OFRA – Long Lasting Lipstick in Bel Air. £11 @
This lipstick shade has become a quick favourite. It’s a light pale pink nude that suits every look! Its formula is creamy and dries completely matte. It lasts a few hours and topping up doesn’t cause it to go cakey or flake! The packaging is sleek, but it rubs off awfully easy.

4) Gerard Cosmetics – Slay all Day in Jasmine. £14.50 for Full size, £10 for Mini @
This is my new staple for setting spray. It smells delicious – reminds me so much of my Jasmine iced tea! You can use it before your makeup as a primer and then afterwards as a setting spray. It really has kept my makeup looking freshly applied!

Stay tuned for my June favourites at the end of the month! ❤

Clionadh Cosmetics – Retina Highlighter

This highlighter is like Unicorn essence! I’m in love with it!

The ladies at Clionadh Cosmetics have done it again with their Raidiants highlighter collection. I decided to snap them all up on Black Friday and I am loving them!

This one is called Retina, it is in a bigger pan (57mm) than their usual highlighters – and I am so glad about that! It is a beautiful mix of yellow, pink, green, blue and purple with multicoloured small shimmer.  As with their other highlighters, this one is vegan and cruelty free!

It creates a light base in the glow that reflects all the colours in the shimmer. You can find a swatch of this on my Instagram. This highlighter reflects beautifully in natural and artificial light. Below is a photo of it in natural sun light.

It makes me feel like a unicorn when I wear it!

Bottom Line: Holy Moly it makes me feel like a unicorn! This is one of the best highlighters I have used – and I have used a lot!

#MOTD: Stunt Lads

This is my makeup I wore to a small family meal whilst I was back in Cardiff!

I started off by tackling my eyebrows – I used my Goof Proof Brow Pencil in Dark to define and shape, and set my brows with the Ready! Set! Brow! clear gel.

For my eyes I did a rose gold smokey eye, using my Urban Decay Naked 2 palette, my Clionadh Cosmetics highlighter, and my Sleek i-Divine Eye Palette in Storm. For my crease I used Tease from my Naked 2 and blended out – I love using this shade to add warmth to my smokey eyes. I used the shade Snow Storm to define my inner eye, and as a base for my eyelid and layered Perfect storm on my outer eye lid and blended the two together, to create a transition shade. I layered my Slaine highlighter from Clionadh on top to add the rose gold sparkle to it. I used my Kat Von D Ink Liner in trooper to do wings, and added my false eyelashes – as I didn’t want to go full haul for the meal I used my Fleur de Force 3/4 lashes from Eylure. I used my Urban Decay Perversion mascara to blend my natural lashes to the falsies.

For my foundation I used the NYX Angel Veil primer to prime my skin ready, and used my NYX Stay Matte Not Flat in Ivory as my base. I used my Bourjois’ Blur The Lines concealer in Ivory under my eyes and as my highlighter. I used Bourjois’ Mat Illusion Bronzer in Hale Clair to define and contour my cheekbones and nose. I set my concealer and foundation using my Rimmel Stay Matte pressed powder in Transparent. To add my glow, I used my Clionadh Cosmetics Llyr to highlight using both the pink and blue shade – as it matched my top, along my cheekbones, nose, cupids bow and temples.

My lipstick is from my Sleek Makeup Matte Me Mini Collection – in the shade Birthday Suit! As usual, I set it all using my Urban Decay All Nighter Setting Spray.

Clionadh Cosmetics – Slaine Highlighter

My first Clionadh order – Slaine (L) & Llyr (R)

Incredibly pigmented, great glow pay off!

I ordered two of the Deity Series highlighters from Clionadh Cosmetics, after eyeing the bad boys up on Instagram for far too long! I decided to go for Slaine and Llyr from their Deity Series, and both highlighters – along with their entire collection – are Vegan and Cruelty Free!!

My order came extremely quickly – I live in the UK and it turned up a few days after dispatching from Canada. It came incredibly packed in coordinating packaging and with a lot of protective wrap, and a lovely handwritten thank you.

Slaine is a beautiful rose gold highlighter that is a blushed pink base with gold flecks, whereas, Llyr is a gorgeous split pan of a light pink and pale blue.

This highlighter, as with their others, is highly pigmented – offering a brilliant glow even from using just a light dusting of the highlighter. This makes it extremely easy to build up the glow you want to achieve.

Slaine in all it’s glory!

Bottom Line: INCREDIBLE! These are the best highlighters I have used – and I have used a lot!
