This month’s collection included brands such as Eco Tools, AMIE, Perricone MD, Ellis Fass, Caudalie, Ultrasun and Kat Von D Beauty.

This month I decided to go all out and get myself a mix of the brands! I snapped up the Eco Tools Perfecting Blender Duo for 20 credits straight away as I couldn’t let a steal like that get away! (It’s usually £9.99 RRP)

For my other beauty treats this month, I chose the Ellis Faas Lip colours in 4 tubes for 10 credits. This pack contained a tube of lipstick in four shades; a lovely bright red , a bright hot pink, a deep vamp red and a dark purple. I was also able to another Kat Von D Tattoo Liner in Trooper for 15 credits!

I went a bit ‘skincare’ mad this month and grabbed the Dr Bragi Marine Enzyme Face mask for 20 credits, as I have seen so much about it on other beauty blogs. I also got these two adorable sample sized Purifying face wash and Matte Finish Moisturiser from AMIE for 5 credits (so cheap I had to!).

Other items on the shop for this edit that I opted out on were numerous Eco Tool brush sets, Living Proof hair products, Caudalie skincare items, and Kat Von D’s Everlasting Lipstick in Outlaw. You can shop the edit’s full boutique here!

Love Me Beauty – November 2016 – Edit

This month’s collection included brands such as Kat Von D, BareMinerals, Make Up For Ever, Nuxe and Eco Tools.

I decided to treat myself to a deluxe version of Kat Von D’s Everlasting Lipstick in Outlaw again – needed another one for my handbag! This amazing treat was only 20 credits! They also had Kat Von D’s Studded Kiss in Magick and her Tattoo Liner in Trooper. These two were also 20 credits so if I chose to I could have had a lovely makeup back stocked up with these three treats.

For my other beauty treats I decided to get the Eco Tools Makeup Brush Cleansing Cloths and the Eco Tools Blending Brush! These cloths are perfect for a quick post makeup application clean or if you’re switching eye shades, but not a suitable alternative to deep cleansing your brushes!

I also opted in for two deluxe samples of some BareMinerals products, including their Lash Domination and Skinlongevity.

Other items on the shop for this edit that I opted out on were Benefit’s Porefessional primer and Roller Lash mascara, Tangle Teezer’s Thick Hair Brush, Make Up For Ever’s Artist Rouge Mat lipstick and Aqua XL Matte Black Liner, Nuxe’s skincare collection. You can shop the edit’s full boutique here!

#MOTD: Harley Quinn

This is my makeup I wore for my Halloween shift in work – we were doing a fancy dress competition! Seeings as I’m the store manager of an entertainment and gaming store I decided to go as Dr Harleen Quinzel aka Harley Quinn from Suicide Squad.

For my foundation I used the NYX Angel Veil primer to prime my skin ready, and used my NYX Stay Matte Not Flat in Ivory as my base. I used my Bourjois’ Blur The Lines concealer in Ivory under my eyes and as my highlighter. I set my concealer and foundation using my Rimmel Stay Matte pressed powder in Transparent. To add my glow, I used my NYX Strobe of Genius palette to highlight using the purple shimmery shade, 3rd shade clockwise from top left, along my cheekbones, nose, cupids bow and temples.

For my eyes I first used my Urban Decay eye shadow primer to ensure the shadows didn’t crease during my shift. I mainly used the pink and blues from my MUA Poptastic palette, which is £4 – available here.

Formy dark pink eye I used my Kat Von D’s Everlasting Liquid Lipstick  in Outlaw and blended it out, and layered the bright pink shade from my MUA palette over it and blended that out too. I used all four blues in the MUA palette for my other eye, and blended them together to get the correct bright blue that Harley wears. I used my Kat Von D Inked Liner in Trooper to do a standard winged liner to add definition to my eyes, and used Benefit’s Badgal lash eyeliner on my waterline and lower lash line.

I added my falsies – this time it was my EYLURE X CHERYL – Girls Night Strip lash – review here! I used my Urban Decay Perversion mascara to make my eyelashes blend. For my eyebrows I opted to not draw them in as Harley’s are more natural looking so instead I used L’Oreal’s Brow Artist Plumper in Dark to define and set them without going over top.

I used my Kat Von D Inked eyeliner in Trooper to draw my heart and ‘Rotten’ on to my face – both set with a fine brush and Blackout from my Naked 2 palette.

My lipstick is the ultimate matte lipstick my Kat Von D Everlasting Liquid Lipstick in Outlaw – my  favourite blood orange/red shade. I set it all using my Urban Decay All Nighter Setting Spray – to hold it all in place during my 9.5hr shift!

#MOTD: My Essential Products

These are the products I cannot bear to live without, and are a constant staple in my makeup bag!

Starting off is my base. I always use NYX’s Angel Veil as my primer – it helps keep my makeup flawless and is a stable base. I have dry and combo skin, and I find it perfect for me – it does however leave a silicon type feel which might put others off. My foundation is NYX Stay Matte But Not Flat in Porecelain, and use NYX Dark Circle Concealer in Fair (which is a perfect Pixi Correction Concentrate Brightening Peach dupe!) under my eyes and on my eyelids. If I feel I need extra coverage I can always rely on Bourjois’ Healthy Mix and Blur The Lines concealer. The former is for light coverage days, and the latter is perfect for high coverage due to it’s thick creamy formula!

For my cheeks I’ll either use Benefit’s Rockateur or Bourjois’ Little Round Pot Blusher in Rose Frisson or Healthy Mix. I mix it up depending on my chosen lip colour and desired look. My highlighters change daily but they’re always from NYX’s Strobe of Genius palette. For more glam looks I use my Sleek’s Solstice Palette as I find that these are more pigmented – review of which you can find here.

For a daily look I go nude eyelids – or a rose gold if I’m feeling fancy – with black cat eyeliner for which I use Kat Von D’s Ink Liner in Trooper. I curl my lashes daily and use Urban Decay’s Perversion mascara on my top lashes and the Bourjois’ Volume Glam Ultra Curl on my lower lashes. I define my eyebrows using NYX’s Eyebrow Push Up Bra, as the colour is a universal match – so it suits everyone! I set them using L’Oreal’s Brow Artist Plumper, which is a fibre infused gel so it adds a bit more definition and volume as it sets!

To finish it all off I use my MAC Viva Glam Ariana Grande 2 lipglass (review you can find here!), as it gives a subtle pink/mauve sheen or I use NYX Matte Lipstick in Sierra.

Kat Von D ‘Everlasting’ Liquid Lipstick

Outlaw by Kat Von D

Well, I think I’ve found the ultimate liquid lipstick!

I have this in Outlaw, and it is truly incredible! Unlike other matte liquid lipsticks, this does not go clumpy or feel dry at all – even after numerous applications. I’ve managed to wear it during a whole shift (9.5 hours) and it didn’t even smudge and still looked amazing when I got home – which is perfect for post work drinks.

Easy to apply due to the applicator, meaning you can touch up with ease if need be as the layers do not clump!! I was worried that this staying power may have made it difficult to get off, but it came of so easily with my micellar water!

Bottom Line: Goes on smoothly, stays put for ages and amazing quality! Truly everlasting!

Price: £16 @ Debenhams (YES! It’s finally landed in the UK!)

Love Me Beauty – September 2016 – Sundown Edit

This month’s collection included brands such as Kat Von D, Omorovicza, Exuviance and Aromatherapy Associates.

I made sure to snap up all of Kat Von D’s beauty range and managed to get deluxe samples of her Everlasting Liquid Lipstick in Outlaw, her Studded Kiss in Magick and her Ink Liner in Trooper. All items are deluxe samples, and have a lot to give even though not full sized! These unbelievable goodies were 15 Credits each, which meant I could afford a few more other treats!!

For my other beauty treat I opted for the full Omorovicza collection, and used a few extra credits for £10, as these were 10/15credits each!

As I’m currently in a cleansing balm frenzy, I went for the Thermal Cleansing Balm to give it a try, you can find my full review here. I also got the Deep Cleansing Mask and the Night Cream. These items are usually £48 full sized so these deluxe samples were definitely a great choice for me to try before I make an expensive buy! Full reviews of each item to come.

Other items on the shop for this edit that I opted in on were Aromatherapy Associates toner and cleanser – but I cannot get on with the fragrance – it reminds me a mix of old flowers and hospitals…
