#MOTD: My Essential Products

These are the products I cannot bear to live without, and are a constant staple in my makeup bag!

Starting off is my base. I always use NYX’s Angel Veil as my primer – it helps keep my makeup flawless and is a stable base. I have dry and combo skin, and I find it perfect for me – it does however leave a silicon type feel which might put others off. My foundation is NYX Stay Matte But Not Flat in Porecelain, and use NYX Dark Circle Concealer in Fair (which is a perfect Pixi Correction Concentrate Brightening Peach dupe!) under my eyes and on my eyelids. If I feel I need extra coverage I can always rely on Bourjois’ Healthy Mix and Blur The Lines concealer. The former is for light coverage days, and the latter is perfect for high coverage due to it’s thick creamy formula!

For my cheeks I’ll either use Benefit’s Rockateur or Bourjois’ Little Round Pot Blusher in Rose Frisson or Healthy Mix. I mix it up depending on my chosen lip colour and desired look. My highlighters change daily but they’re always from NYX’s Strobe of Genius palette. For more glam looks I use my Sleek’s Solstice Palette as I find that these are more pigmented – review of which you can find here.

For a daily look I go nude eyelids – or a rose gold if I’m feeling fancy – with black cat eyeliner for which I use Kat Von D’s Ink Liner in Trooper. I curl my lashes daily and use Urban Decay’s Perversion mascara on my top lashes and the Bourjois’ Volume Glam Ultra Curl on my lower lashes. I define my eyebrows using NYX’s Eyebrow Push Up Bra, as the colour is a universal match – so it suits everyone! I set them using L’Oreal’s Brow Artist Plumper, which is a fibre infused gel so it adds a bit more definition and volume as it sets!

To finish it all off I use my MAC Viva Glam Ariana Grande 2 lipglass (review you can find here!), as it gives a subtle pink/mauve sheen or I use NYX Matte Lipstick in Sierra.
