Glow Recipe – Skincare Serum – Guava Vitamin C Dark Spot Serum

Glow Recipe’s Guava Vitamin C Dark Spot Serum is a Cult Beauty favourite for good reason. This vitamin c serum brightens and evens out skin tone while diminishing the appearance of dark spots. I absolutely love it!

It is a brightening and even tone serum that is jam packed with vitamin c, ferulic acid vitamin E, guava extract and gentle resurfacing agents.

I have been using this product for a while, often after the Glow Recipe’s Plum Plump hyaluronic acid serum, and it has helped to improve the overall appearance of my skin.

This vitamin c serum is super lightweight and absorbs quickly into the skin. This pink serum itself has a light, refreshing scent – a softer guava Rubicon drink vibe – and makes my skin feel smooth and radiant with gentle exfoliation every use.

As this is a vitamin c product – use either in the evening or before your SPF!

I’ve been using it both morning and night, and I’ve noticed a significant difference in the overall appearance of my skin. My complexion looks brighter and more even, and I’ve also noticed a decrease in the appearance of dark spots, as well as hyperpigmentation from my adult acne. This serum has also decreased the number of breakouts I get – and it has replaced my standalone spot treatment!

LANEIGE – Lip Treatment Balm

LANEIGE is a Korean beauty brand that is known for its high quality products, and as you all know – I am big on my Asian skincare. Their attention to the quality and science behind their ingredients really makes them your skins best friend in delivering quick, and visible results.

LANEIGE’s Lip Treatment Balm is a repairing and nourishing lip balm that contains coconut oil and peptides and adenosine all wrapped up in this pearlised balm.

The Lip Treatment is a thick and creamy balm that comes in a cute baby pink compact with a built in applicator to keep it clean and sanitary.

It has a sweet but subtle, coconut scent and leaves the lips feeling soft and hydrated – with a cooling effect causing pleasurable tingles (not like a menthol burn sensation). It also has a lovely pearlised finish that makes my lips look healthy and plump, with a subtle glow.

I’ve been using this lip treatment for a few weeks now, and I absolutely love it!

It’s very nourishing and my lips feel so soft and repaired after using it, and I can definitely see a difference in the appearance of my lips. My lips look healthier and more hydrated since using this lip balm.

The balm is really effective at nourishing and repairing my lips. They’re softer and smoother, and the pigments give them a lovely pearlescent finish.

If you’re looking for a affordable and nourishing lip balm, then I would definitely recommend the LANEIGE Lip Treatment.

Bottom Line: I highly recommend this lip treatment to anyone, especially if you’re looking for a Korean-inspired beauty product. It’s definitely worth the price and it will leave your lips feeling moisturised and repaired.

First Aid Beauty – Niacinamide Brightening Eye Cream – PR {Gifted}

Looking for a brightening eye cream that can help you achieve a more youthful appearance? First Aid Beauty’s Niacinamide Brightening Eye Cream may be just what you need!

This premium eye cream is formulated with niacinamide, which has been shown to help reduce the appearance of dark circles and fine lines.

Niacinamide, also known as vitamin B3, is a powerful ingredient that brightens and evens out the skin tone. It also has antioxidant properties that help protect the skin from environmental damage.

This eye cream is lightly-scented and quickly absorbs into the skin, delivering intense hydration. It is also cruelty-free and suitable for all skin types as well as being perfect for those who are concerned about the signs of aging, such as fine lines and wrinkles.

I loved how quickly this plumped my eyes up, and helped dim my dark circles from the first use due to the radiant peach micro-pearls which added a lovely glow-dewy look.

The formula didn’t clog my pores, or cause any eye irritation – even on a few super hot and therefore sweaty summer days- it didn’t cause my makeup to peel either. I did use this instead of a eyeshadow primer as a base for some more subtle looks, as the micro-pearls really enhanced a basic nude eye.

Bottom Line: One of the better eye creams I have tried, beneficial for those who have sensitive eyes and would like additional glow. Those who do not like the extra sparkle might not like this one though!

Wella’s System Professional – Solar Sun UV Hair Oil – PR {Gifted}

Wella’s System Professional Solar Sun Oil is a hair oil that provides UV protection and is ideal for beach days or any time you want to protect your hair from the sun when you’ll be spending time outdoors.

The oil conveniently comes in a handy travel size, so it’s perfect for taking on the go! You can also get a bigger version to refill when getting low.

I love that it has a light, refreshing scent and leaves my hair feeling soft and healthy. The oil is lightweight and non-greasy, making it perfect for use on all hair types. These means I can protect my hair simply and easily without feeling greasy or looking like I have product in. It doesn’t have a strong smell, and it washes out very easy so build up isn’t an issue.

This sun oil protects via their HelioGuard technology so your hair can stay vibrant for longer with less damage from the harmful UV rays. The avocado oil prevents against moisture loss, whilst the cationic polymers help repair damaged hair.

I teamed it up with Systems hydrating shampoo and repair mask (in lieu of conditioner) one I got home to wash away the sand and day, and reintroduce moisture to my hair after a long day relaxing in the sun.

Bottom Line: So if you’re looking for a hair oil that can do it all, be sure to try System Professional Solar Sun Oil. Your hair –and scalp– will thank you for it!

Glow Recipe – Skincare Serum – Plum Plump Hyaluronic Acid

If you’re looking for a hyaluronic acid serum that will give you deep hydration, healthy skin, Glow Recipe’s option is a great choice. This cult status Korean skincare brand is known for their quality ingredients and this serum is no exception.

Hyaluronic acid is a great addition to any skincare routine. Known for being dry skin’s BFF, hyaluronic acid helps to hydrate and plump the skin by helping its stretch and flex, and and in turn reducing skin wrinkles and lines.

It has also proven to help wounds heal faster and can reduce scarring, so this can help with any cuts, or spots and aid better healing.

The additional benefit of Glow Recipe’s addition of juicy Kakadu, Illawarra, and Burdekin plum means that this serum in particular boasts high concentrations of anti-inflammatory vitamin C and contains minerals like magnesium, calcium, zinc, & potassium.

The Plum Plump serum has a light, gel-like consistency that absorbs quickly into the skin, and I like to use it before pairing with my CeraVe moisturiser. I’ve been using this serum for a few weeks now and my skin looks and feels great. I definitely notice a difference in my skin’s hydration levels and my complexion looks more even.

Bottom Line: If you’re looking for a quality hyaluronic acid serum, I would highly recommend Glow Recipe’s option.

CAUDALIE – Facial Cleanser – Instant Foaming Cleanser

A dense, foaming cleanser that can demolish any makeup!

I’ve recently started to dabble with a wider range of skincare and stumbled upon Caudalie from my Love Me Beauty subscription boxes, so I’ve decided to try more from their product range.

I decided to use their foaming cleanser as part of my early morning routine as I find self foaming items can speed up a morning cleanse when you’re sleepy, so this would ease my pre-woken up morning grogginess.

This foam is dense, and can easily take off any left over makeup, and the waterproof panda eyes I sometimes wake up with. It’s soft and gentle enough to cleanse without drying my skin out, and leaves it fresh and clean. I use this after their moisturising mask for a double dose of moisture, that doesn’t leave my skin oily, dry or greasy but rather soothed and noticeably clean. I’d recommend this for sensitive skin that is prone to dry related breakouts.

Bottom Line: A thick, deeply cleansing but sensitive cleansing foam.

Price: £15.00 at Caudalie

Rating: **** (Sometimes it dispenses more than I realise using this and end up with excess product going to waste.)

Caudalie – Face Mask – Moisturising Mask

A moisturising mask that can also be used as an overnight intense treatment!

I love trying new items, and was eager to try this moisturising mask! As you all know, I suffer from dry skin, and this weather is not helping! This Moisturising Mask rehydrates and soothes dry skin leaving the skin is soft and hydrated thanks to a formula rich in grape-seed oil, Vinolevure® (their patented grape extract that moisturises and protects), and plant glycerine. It’s an intense shot of moisture that can be used as a standard mask, or overnight for the ultimate treatment.

Using overnight, I woke up and the blemishes I had had become less angry and red, and I didn’t break out! It’s even recommended for the most sensitive skin!!

Bottom Line: A cure for sensitive skin that breaks out easily but needs an intense dose of moisture!

GLAMGLOW – GLOWSTARTER Mega Illuminating Moisturiser – Nude Glow

A beautiful hydrating illuminator!

This is my first time delving in to the GLAMGLOW world, as I’ve often been sceptical of their products due to the heavy use of Influencers to push their items. But I was on holiday and had a few euros left, and thought what the heck!

These moisturisers smell UNBELIEVABLE, I use it some days purely to bask in the scent! It gives an all over glow, with a hint of nude colouring to even out my skin tone (I have redness occasionally around my nose). As I was in Sephora I was able to try out the other versions – Pearl Glow, which is a paler shell coloured version, with white reflects, and Sunkissed Glow, which is a darker colour with more golden glow.

It hydrates really well, and sits under foundation extremely well – you can also mix it with your foundation to create a glowy base. It preforms well for what you pay for – it hydrates, doesn’t cause any breakouts, and helps add a healthy looking glow – which helped keeping my natural holiday tan once I got home!

The only thing I really disliked about this product is the shine! Oh lord, did it make my face shiny! Most times when I wore it on its own as a little skin pep, I had to dust my face with translucent powder just to make my skin matte – but I’ve now see that GLAMGLOW has released a new version that is a matte finish – so I will be purchasing that one once this version is empty!

Bottom Line: Adds a beautiful glow, but at the cost of a shiny face! Lovely as a base to your foundation for healthy glow.

GK Naturals – Facial Oil – Balancing Face Oil – PR

A gentle, moisturising concoction of natural essential oils.

I was gifted this from GK Naturals in return for my honest review on this product – so here it is!

I’ve used this as part of my skincare routine in numerous ways – after a skin mask, after toning and cleansing and before my primer for my makeup applications. I have noticed that unlike other facial oils – it doesn’t cause me to break out. It’s skin quenching but not greasy and it smells so yummy and it’s a nice pre-bed aromatherapy treat.

The oil contains numerous essential oils from natural sources such as Lavender, Petitgrain, Grapefruit, Chamomile, Argan, Apricot, Rose Hip, Grapeseed, and Sea Buctorn Oils. This unique mix of oils creates an antiseptic and astringent dose of goodness that helps balance and prevent blemishes – so if acne is a big trouble for you or you get break-outs in your oily T-Zone then this facial oil is perfect for you.

The oils are all natural and contain no animal by-products, and the company is anti animal cruelty and animal testing – making this oil good for your skin and good for animals! Yay!

Bottom Line: The first facial oil that hasn’t caused me to break out over prolonged use! Brilliantly moisturising and a lovely aromatherapy treat as well!
