A Summer in Paris!

As a few of you know, I was able to spend part of my summer living it up in sunny Paris! During my stay I did the typical touristy things like hitting up Disneyland Paris and the Eiffel Tower – but managed to do a few other things during my visit.

I’ve been to Paris a lot in my lifetime, but it was amazing to visit when I’ve got a new appreciation of city life. I enjoyed using the Metro and train services – something that I never have done before! It was fun buying a Mobilis ticket, which allowed me unlimited travel on all services, I took full advantage of this and took the cable car down from the Sacre Coeur!

I was able to hit up so many tourist spots in one day from my travel pass, zipping all over the city and clocking up some cardio in between! Climbing up the Eiffel Tower was some cardio indeed that I felt warranted a chocolatey Cornetto at the top as a reward…

I enjoyed shopping along the Champs-Élysées and spending all of my money on the first day in Sephora buying a haul of new beauty goodies, but “When in Paris!” they say…

Absolute heaven!

Omorovicza Thermal Cleansing Balm

FullSizeRender (11).jpg

This is an amazing cleansing balm that helps unclogs the pores but not strip away your skin!

I managed to get this in my Love Me Beauty Box last month, and have fallen in love with it.

It’s a deep cleansing balm that lifts and clears your pores, and a little goes a long way. I tend to use the size of a pea to cleanse my whole face. One of the things I love about it it that its not an exfoliator, so its good for dry skin and it actually moisturises rather than strips.

I have dry/combo skin and it’s always soothed my dry skin without making it worse – which makes it an instant keeper. The only downside for this cleanser is that sometimes it can be a bit gritty due to the mud element and sometimes leaves a slight oily film – but nothing a toner can’t get rid of!

It’s now a staple in my skin care routine!

Bottom Line: A tad bit pricey, but does last a long while and has amazing results – once you get over the occasional gritty bit.

Price: £48 on Cult Beauty

Oh K! Coconut Water Fibre Face Mask

How adorable are these?! I managed to stumble on these in my local River Island.

These masks are made by Oh K! a brand that is taking on the Korean beauty trend with a new line of products, and this being one of them!

I found these fibre masks to be a bit too thick so they added a lot of weight to my face, and because of it, kept sliding down. They did deliver a lot of hydration, but I could only keep them on for 10 minutes – not the 15-20 recommended due to how uncomfortable they made me feel.

Bottom Line: Cute for a little novelty face mask for uber hydration – but may feel uncomfortable for some users like me.  They’re absolutely adorable and the packaging is so cute!!

Price: £8 for a pack of 3. Got these in River Island, but you can buy them online at Beauty Bay

Beauty Stones Green Tea Facial Mask

These masks are one of my new favourite fabric face masks!

The natural fibre sheet is the right thickness, enough to hold the serum but not so thick that it creates an uncomfortable weight on the face. It’s packed with green tea extract which combats acne and any blemishes whilst the hyaluronic acid re-moisturises your face.

It’s suitable for all skin types – I’m dry/combo and it was perfect – it didn’t cause any breakouts (actually reduced the spots I already had) and quenched my skins thirst!

I was so thrilled with the results I was able to hit the shops without any foundation and concealer the next day!

I treated myself to a pretty big ice cream!

Bottom Line: Actually reduced the inflammation of my pre-existing spots. Has a lovely fresh fragrance and didn’t feel uncomfortable for the 20 minutes I had it on. Perfect weekend treat to unwind from the stress of work!

Price: 6 Masks = £16.50 + £5.95 Delivery (Use code ROSEMARY15 to get 15% off all your orders. Delivery takes 5 days from Canada to the UK!) Available from Beauty Stones.

Love Me Beauty – September 2016 – Sundown Edit

This month’s collection included brands such as Kat Von D, Omorovicza, Exuviance and Aromatherapy Associates.

I made sure to snap up all of Kat Von D’s beauty range and managed to get deluxe samples of her Everlasting Liquid Lipstick in Outlaw, her Studded Kiss in Magick and her Ink Liner in Trooper. All items are deluxe samples, and have a lot to give even though not full sized! These unbelievable goodies were 15 Credits each, which meant I could afford a few more other treats!!

For my other beauty treat I opted for the full Omorovicza collection, and used a few extra credits for £10, as these were 10/15credits each!

As I’m currently in a cleansing balm frenzy, I went for the Thermal Cleansing Balm to give it a try, you can find my full review here. I also got the Deep Cleansing Mask and the Night Cream. These items are usually £48 full sized so these deluxe samples were definitely a great choice for me to try before I make an expensive buy! Full reviews of each item to come.

Other items on the shop for this edit that I opted in on were Aromatherapy Associates toner and cleanser – but I cannot get on with the fragrance – it reminds me a mix of old flowers and hospitals…

Love Me Beauty – August 2016 – Everlasting Edit

This month’s collection included brands such as Dr Lipp, Nuxe, Pixi, and Eco Tools.

I decided to treat myself to two of Eco Tool’s brush set range and snapped up their Day to Night set and their Essential Eyes set. Both items are full sized retail items!!! These two Eco Tools goodies were 25 Credits each, which meant I spent my extra credits (how could I resist!)

For my other beauty treat I selected Pixi’s Nourishing Lip Polish, which was 15 credits. This lip polish is perfect for dry lips in the summer or winter as the built in head helps exfoliate whilst the polish hydrates and nourishes!

As I’m currently in a lip care overhaul I also opted for the Dr Lipp Original Nipple Balm for Lips, which is an all over body balm that you can use on pretty much everything which is made from 100% medical grade lanolin!
