Herbivore Botanicals – Coco Rose – Luxe Hydration Trio Collection

IMG_0364.JPG

A wonderful introduction to the Herbivore brand!

If you haven’t stumbled upon the much coveted Vegan brand Herbivore, then this might be the set that introduces you to their world. Herbivore is a Vegan, natural company which combines the focus on the modern clean beauty movement with result-driven products, in insanely aesthetically packaging.

This is their Coconut + Rose Luxe Hydration Trio set, where you get three stars of their collection in this curated set. This set includes their Rose Hibiscus hydration spray, their Coco Rose lip conditioner and their Coco Rose body polish, in a smaller travel friendly size as a perfect discovery package.

IMG_0362

Their Rose Hibiscus coconut water face mist is lovely to refresh bare skin or to set makeup with a touch more hydration. The Coco Rose smells delicious, but is a harder, solid type balm which takes a while to warm up so applies in chunks rather than a normal lip balm, which is a bit disappointing.

The body polish is one of the drier of exfoliating polishes, which means it does requires a bit of water to lubricate the exfoliating as it does get a bit raw if used on bone dry skin. Due to this, it does make a wonderful exfoliator to use in the bath as opposed to the shower.

Bottom Line: Wonderfully natural, vegan products that give results every time!

Dr. G – Aquasis Water Vital Sleeping Mask – Hydrating Mask – Korean Skincare – PR

IMG_4673

A hydration overnight mask to improve the moisture levels of your skin!

I was very lucky to receive this product from Skinsider for me to review for my followers  – Please note I received this complimentary! I was sent this to introduce me to the website, and company that is www.Skinsider.co.uk . Skinsider is a one stop shop for Korean Skincare, and as you know – I love Korean Skincare! What I love the most about this site is the fact that they categorise the products by skin concern and skin type – so you can find your ideal product.

This is my first dabble with the brand that is Dr G, which is apparently a big thing in Asian skincare routines. This is an overnight mask treatment that delivers a lot of hydration while you sleep – I’m often putting this on during the day if I’ve got a few hours spare or even to relax during my late night blogging sessions.

This moisture mask also helps protect and strengthen the skins natural barrier due to the Bio-Hyaluronate solution which pulls and keeps moisture inside the skin. It also contains  Resurrection Plant, which grows in the desert with minimum water, provides and activates moisture energy for healthy skin and a clear complexion.

This moisture mask is filled with skin caring, and hydrating ingredients to help improve skins appearance and repair any blemishes! It’s texture is reminiscent of the Tony Moly Panda’s Dream Gel Moisturiser when you first apply it, and then as it dries you hardly tell you’re wearing a mask. To remove it, all you need to do is wash it away with warm water. This moisturising mask is perfect for those who are prone to acne as it will not clog pores!!

Bottom Line: Holy moly, get it on my face now! It’s like bathing in aloe vera without the clogged skin and breakouts.

ANATOMICALS – Face Masks – Anti-Blemish and Mattifying Face Masks – PR

FullSizeRender (1)

Two cleansing face masks, that will de-grease and get rid of blemishes!

I received these products in return for my honest review – so here it is!

I decided to use these face masks together, as I had great success using the exfoliating and calming one together for an intense cleaning routine, and thought they would compliment each other nicely!

The anti-blemish mask is made up of tea tree oil, sage oil and primrose oil which soothes and calms the skin whilst removing dirt and blocked pores. This mask hasn’t got any exfoliating properties, so it wasn’t drying or abrasive but instead the oils helped deliver moisture to my skin. It did clean some of my blackheads on my nose but didn’t do much for my chin area, which was disappointing as my chin area is usually my breakout zone.

Due to the three different oils in the anti-blemish face mask, I wanted to ensure that all excess oil would be removed from my skin as excess oil for me causes a lot of whiteheads, therefore I used the clarifying mask after!

This clarifying mask uses enriched oat protein to revitalise and hydrate skin, as well as regulating excess oils giving a shine-free, matte bright complexion. This mask was very, very good! It’s either a win or fail for me with clarifying products – either it strips off too much oil, causing dryness and skin irritation or it delivers my desired results – there is no in-between. This luckily was the latter and delivered me a shine free, clear face which the following day, was not oily which reduced my breakouts overnight. I highly recommend this for anyone suffering with oily skin and related breakouts.

Bottom Line: A budget friendly face mask, that’s is a spot busting superhero leaving a shine free, oily face!

ANATOMICALS – Face Masks – Apricot Face Scrub & Calming Algae Face Mask – PR

FullSizeRender

Two cleansing face masks, that will whip and caress your skin into shape!

I received this product in return for my honest review – so here it is!

I decided to use these face masks together, as I often find that any exfoliating scrub can cause my skin to get dry and angry, and apricot seed scrubs are the biggest culprits!

The apricot scrub smelt delightful, and it was very easy to use and apply it, in this packets there’s more than enough for your first application and I saved a bit to use for another day on my problem areas. The mask wasn’t as gritty as I was expecting – which is very good – I’ve found with others it’s so bitty it hurts to exfoliate with it. It was very easy to remove with a damp, warm flannel and left my skin feeling soft, yet nourished – which was a surprise as scrubs usually leave my skin screaming for moisturiser!

The calming algae face mask was soothing to my freshly exfoliated skin, reducing my redness and delivering moisture to my skin. It calmed my redness a lot more than I expected it to, usually I’m Rudolph for the next few hours – this on the other hand made my redness fade within half an hour – so I will definitely be re-purchasing this for when my redness is in overload!

Bottom Line: A budget friendly face mask, that’s very high performing!

Anatomicals – Eye Patches – Puffy The Eye Bag Slayer

FullSizeRender (12)

A burst of moisture to perk up your eyes!

I received this product in return for my honest review – so here it is!

These eye patches are a lot like the TonyMoly Panda’s Dream Eye Patches, but the consistency is more like jelly, an its 3 to a pack making them each mask half the price of the Panda Patches! Instead of turning you into a panda, these patches have a nerdy name – loving the Buffy reference!

These patches are a jelly, white semi oval that you place under your eyes. It takes 30 minutes for the moisture to seep in and plump up your under eye area, creating an instant lift. They work on the same principle as the Panda Patches, they’re jammed packed with vitamin B3 to minimise fine lines and wrinkles to keep you looking fresh and youthful.  It’s this intense hydration that helps to ‘plump’ and brighten the delicate skin around the eyes!

Bottom Line: Seriously slays those eye bags!

Price: £6 at Superdrug

Rating: ***** (Cheaper than the TonyMoly and they have the same effect!)

TONYMOLY – PANDA’S DREAM – Eye Patch

FullSizeRender

An adorable dose of Korean Skincare to rejuvenate the eyes.

I decided to try out the  Panda’s Dream eye patches after trying the other item from the Panda’s Dream So Cool… Stick and the Moisture Gel Cream, and needed a pick up from my recent late nights!

I’ve ended up with dark circles so wanted to treat myself one night, so I sat down with my glass of Prosecco and popped these two bad boys on! The patches themselves are fibre and black, making you look like a panda! It’s adorable!

The patches are saturated in bamboo shoot extract and vitamin B3 to minimise fine lines and wrinkles to keep you looking fresh and youthful.  It’s this intense hydration that helps to ‘plump’ and brighten the delicate skin around the eyes!

Bottom Line: A lovely burst of freshness, and plumping action to banish dark circles and brighten the under eye area!

TONYMOLY – Panda’s Dream – So Cool Eye Stick

FullSizeRender_1

An adorable dose of Korean Skincare aimed at reducing puffyness around the eyes.

I am in awe of anything to do with skincare from Korea, purely because of the quality and the style of their products! They focus on providing the best skincare, so I can never pass up the chance to try and review Korean skincare and beauty items!

I was very eager to use and try this as I have wanted a cooling eye stick for  long while as I’ve heard they’re brilliant for day to day skincare – but other migraine sufferers have said they help cool the eye area which often hurts during a migraine attack!  But boy, oh boy, was I disappointed with this product!

FullSizeRender

Where to begin? For starters the cooling effect was minimal, you could have asked your best friend to blow on your skin for more relief than this thing provided, or made a paper fan to deliver a cooler breeze.

Another thing I hated about this was that the product falls apart on application, causing you to end up with huge chunks of blue around your eyes and all over the packaging! I don’t want to be cleaning it after every use and having to massage the living hell out of my eyes just to blend the clumps!

I found it did sweet nothing for my eyes and the skin around it, when it dried it felt sticky and left the area feeling tight which was weird. This was such a disappointment as I’ve been in love with my other Panda’s Dream products!

Bottom Line: Unless you want a cute little mascot for your desk/vanity – AVOID!

Price: £12.50 at Beauty Bay and Cult Beauty.

TonyMoly – Panda’s Dream Moisture Gel Cream

FullSizeRender_3

A beautifully cute moisturiser which is perfect for very dry skin!

I am in awe of anything to do with skincare from Korea, purely because of the quality and the style of their products! They focus on providing the best skincare, so I can never pass up the chance to try and review Korean skincare and beauty items!

I managed to pick up a huge TonyMoly haul when I was in Rhodes and visited the Sephora store near Old Rhodes Town.

I was very excited to try this product out as I occasionally have issues with dry skin, and this certainly delivers moisture! The best thing about this is the gel consistency – you can really feel it sitting on your skin and soaking in delivering the moisture to all of the layers, as opposed to other creams that sink in quickly leaving your skin thirsty for more!

FullSizeRender_2

A little goes a long way with this moisturiser, and it spreads easily with the warmth of your skin to allow you to evenly distribute it. Although it is a gel, it is surprisingly lightweight and I use it under my primer to add a bit of extra moisture, especially coming up to the cold winter months!

Even as a gel, it does not clog my pores or cause me to have breakouts, it’s incredibly refreshing and soothing to apply.

Bottom Line: A deeply penetrating moisturiser that nourishes skin, without being heavy and causing breakouts.

Tony Moly – Bebe Powder Solid Perfume – Korean Beauty

IMG_0769

A long-lasting, solid perfume that smells adorably clean.

This is the most adorable solid perfume I have ever bought. I got it during my big Korean beauty haul in Rhodes.

I decided to go for the Bebe Powder scent, as I found the packaging insanely cute and the fragrance charming. The fragrance is baby powder and smells so clean and comforting. I wear it before I go to bed or if I have a busy day lined up to soothe my nerves. The fragrance lasts approximately 3-4 hours if worn on the wrists.

Bottom Line: Charmingly cute solid perfume for on the go application.
