ZOEVA – SPECTRUM PALETTE – Contour Spectrum

FullSizeRender

An awesome starter palette for contouring.

I’ve been looking for a powder contour palette that can easily fit in my bag for on the go contouring, so after my brilliant experience with the Zoeva Blush palette I decided to grab this one!

This contour has two brown shades for contouring, a yellow setting powder for brightening and a pearlescent champagne highlight. The powders are all very pigmented and easy to blend with a brush or a sponge, giving good coverage and depth. The dark brown contouring shades have a warm and cool tone so you’re able to mix and match them to suit your complexion.

The only gripe I have with this palette is that the lighter shade is very sparkly so its best to use as a “glow” highlight rather than a contouring base highlight. This means that I can’t just carry this in my bag for all my contour needs as I still need a lighter matte powder shade.

Bottom Line: Good for a basic contour shade, but if you want to have one definitive palette for contouring, look elsewhere….

Zoeva – Spectrum Blush Palette – Coral Spectrum

FullSizeRender

Highly pigmented, full colour blush palette in perfect for summer shades.

I’ve been looking for a blush palette that will be perfect for summer so decided to give this Zoeva palette a go. They have three palettes in three different spectrum sets – Coral, Nudes, and Pink. Each palette has four unique shades which can be used separate or mixed to create unique blush combinations.

I decided to try the coral spectrum palette first to get a good idea of the formula and pigmentation. The pressed powder blush glides on easy with good, but light, pigmentation which allows you to customise each look as well as build up the pigmentation to the desired effect. Each shade is delicious in their own right!

The packaging is very elegant, with rose gold lettering that turns into a colourful spectrum when the light hits it on a black silky smooth palette.  The palette doesn’t have a mirror in it, which isn’t a big deal as if I’m travelling I’m bound to have a mirror with me anyway!

Bottom Line: You get four unbelievably beautiful blusher shades in a cute and well designed palette for £15 – Do I really need to say any more than that?!
