A blemish gel that delivers a gentle, plant-based approach to tackling stubborn breakouts without overwhelming the skin.

This blemish gel is part of Byron Bay Skincare’s Clear Skin System, and it has become one of those products I reach for when my skin feels reactive, especially during hormonal or cystic breakouts along my chin and jawline.
If you’ve read my other skincare content, you’ll know I’ve shifted towards products that support the skin barrier rather than strip it. This fits naturally into that kind of routine, similar to the calming approach I talk about in my evening reset and skin recovery guide, where the focus is on balance rather than over-correction.
What makes this work is its ingredient balance. Tea tree oil helps target bacteria and reduce inflammation, while willow bark extract gently exfoliates and keeps pores clear. Instead of aggressively drying out the skin, it works with it, which is exactly why it feels so effective over time.
On application, the texture is slightly sticky at first, but this settles quickly and dries down to a barely-there finish. It leaves that subtle tea tree freshness which makes your skin feel clean, but never tight or uncomfortable.
In terms of how I use it, I apply a small amount, around a pea-sized pump, across my chin and jawline both morning and evening. I either use it as a targeted treatment on active breakouts or lightly across areas that tend to flare up.
It layers really well under makeup, which is something I always look for. It does not disrupt foundation or cause separation, and it almost acts as a barrier over open spots, helping to prevent further congestion throughout the day.
What I noticed over time is that it does not just reduce visible breakouts, it also helps with the feeling of them. Those deeper, more painful cystic spots felt softer and less inflamed, which for me is just as important as how they look.
It works best when you are not overwhelming your skin with too many actives. When paired with a more hydration-focused routine, it helps keep everything balanced and stops that cycle of irritation and overcorrection.
After consistent use, I found my breakouts became less frequent in the same areas, and overall my skin felt calmer and more controlled. It is one of those products that quietly improves your skin rather than giving instant, harsh results.
If you are dealing with recurring breakouts and want something that supports your skin rather than fights against it, this is a really easy addition to your routine.
Bottom Line: A gentle but effective blemish treatment that works with your skin, helping to calm, balance and reduce breakouts over time without disrupting your routine.
