Well, well, well, looks like a Queen is reigning!
I have a few Tarte Cosmetics palettes and products, and I have to say, this has become my favourite to travel with. This palette is the perfect face and eye palette due to the complimenting shades of blusher, bronzer, highlighter and eyeshadows.
This palette is the brainchild of Grav3yardGirl, who hopefully you all know of due to her unique and quirky personality, and pays homage to her home state of Texas. The palette has unique shade names such as ‘dogman’, ‘gator wings’, and ‘does this thing really work?’. If you’re wondering, yes it does really work.
This palette boasts a beautiful gold highlight, which is the most pigmented highlighter I have ever used – it’s literally like painting my face with gold, and I love it.
The blusher is a lovely rosy pink with gold reflect shimmer which is perfect as standalone as the shimmer is eye catching enough, or team it up with the gold highlight for ultimate glow!
The bronzer is a lovely warm brown shade, which is sadly slightly orange, so use it sparingly and not as your base contour otherwise you’ll end up a gilded tangerine…
This palette has nine incredible eye shadow shades, which have been displayed horizontally in complimentary trios. They are made up of two light neutral matte shades and seven shimmering shadows in warm toned plums, browns and oranges. Together they are a lovely selection of base, crease and lid shades to mix and match or use the complimentary shades for your desired look. The palette also comes with a soft, closely packed brown eye shadow brush which is handy for adding the shimmer shadows to your look, as opposed to blending the shades!
Bottom Line: Lovely, warm toned, highly pigmented eye shadow shades to create a vast array of everyday looks, or darken with the smokey shades for glam nighttime looks when teamed up with the complimentary blusher, bronzer and highligher. This is the ultimate travel palette!

Thank you! I’m very glad you enjoy my blog!
I tend to clean and take all shots of my palettes as soon as they arrive before I use them as I like to preserve their fresh pre-use look! I never swatch until it’s photographed which is so hard when they’re this pretty!

Hi! At the moment I’m using Lush’s Tibet water which has considerably lowered my breakouts and I’m using my TonyMoly gel moisturiser! That’s pretty much it. I use the toner three times a day, once in the morning, in the afternoon and before bed, if I’m makeupless. I always make sure to moisturise and I use Soap and Glory’s micellar water to remove my makeup, when I’m wearing it. I’ve also started dermablading with Tweezerman’s blade to get rid of dry and dead skin that can block pores, but that’s a once a week job! 🙂
