Knoops is a name that is quickly gaining recognition in the world of chocolate lovers!
This unique, sweet toothed business has been making a name for itself with its delicious and innovative chocolate drinks.
Founded by Jens Knoop who has had a strong relationship with chocolate since his childhood in rural Germany, and in 2013, he decided to share his passion and opened the first Knoops store in Rye, East Sussex.
With a focus on quality ingredients and creative flavours, Knoops has become a favourite among those seeking a truly indulgent and unforgettable chocolate experience.
Their signature drink, the Knoops’ hot chocolate, has gained a huge following among chocolate lovers due to the customisability Knoops offer.
The Knoops concept is simply based around their carefully curated percentage menu which offers chocolates to suit every taste and mood – from 28% White Chocolate, to 100% Rich Dark Chocolate.
The Knoops process is easy; you just choose your chocolate %, type of milk, and extra flavours like sea salt, orange zest or chilli to be made into a hot chocolate, milkshake or iced chocolate.
This experimentation with different % chocolates and flavours is a process they call ‘Knoopology’.
With the success of their hot chocolate, Knoops decided to expand their brand and introduce a new line of drinks – Knoops iced chocolate.
As a chocolate enthusiast, I couldn’t resist and headed straight to my nearest Knoops store in Guildford, to try out this new – perfect for summer – creation.
I decided to go for my usual hot order – 28% White chocolate, normal milk, with the addition of matcha and vanilla. This makes it taste like an earthy, matcha milkybar and I absolutely adore it!
I made my way to the counter and ordered their signature Knoops iced chocolate in my preferred concoction. The friendly staff greeted me with a smile and quickly prepared my drink. As I waited, I noticed just how wide the variety of toppings and flavours they offered really was!
Finally, my drink was ready, and I eagerly took a sip. The first thing that hit me was the rich and creamy texture of the chocolate. It was perfectly balanced, not too thick or too watery. The sweetness was just right, not overpowering the chocolate flavour. I could taste the high-quality cocoa used in Knoops’ drinks, giving it a bold and intense taste.
I was thoroughly impressed by the Knoops iced chocolate. It was unlike any other iced chocolate I had tried before. The attention to detail and quality of ingredients used were evident in every sip.
