The easiest way to stay positive in a tough time is by finding things you’re thankful for. This can be as simple as remembering how much you appreciate your favourite coffee spot or a kind stranger that gave you directions. It can also be as complex as writing thank you letters or notes on a regular basis, a practice that has been linked to increased happiness. Good friends will not view you as a burden and are more than happy to help you through this time. Spending time with positive people can help you to feel happier and reduce your stress level. Avoid spending time with negative people who may magnify your feelings or make you feel worse.
You can also find ways to improve your mental health and build a positive mindset through exercise, meditation, and spending time with family or friends. It is essential to build this positivity now before things get tough!
