I decided to visit The Spa as part of my recent birthday celebrations with my best friend taking advantage of their Relax and Renew spa day package.
In this package you get one 60-minute Spa treatment, a 2-course meal at their South Beach Restaurant and access to their spa facilities for the day.
This hidden gem offers a tranquil retreat from the hustle and bustle of city life, where guests can indulge in a wide range of rejuvenating treatments and experience true relaxation.
To start the day, we headed out to the outside heated pool. This pool has plenty of sunbeds to enjoy the sunny weather – making it perfect for a tanning session. We set up on the right hand side of the pool opposite the Old Harry Rocks restaurant.
To enjoy our sun bed session we quickly walked over to the Old Harry Rock’s bar to grab some vanilla iced coffees, which were very reasonably priced.
We both decided to bring our kindles with us to enjoy some reading as we soaked in the sun.
The spa receptionist told us that to keep the Family Friendly atmosphere – The Nici the outside pool has child access throughout the day.
Where as the indoor heated pool is only accessible by children between 9-10am and 4-5pm.
As we went to the outside pool before our lunch, I didn’t take a dip in the pool as I wanted to remain dry.
As I touched on earlier – this spa day comes with a two course meal at The Nici’s South Beach restaurant and bar – where you can choose from a starter and main, or a main and dessert. However, if you wish to have the three course set menu – you are able to pay the supplement on your bill.

After our lunch we headed to the Spa to await our upcoming treatments. From the moment you step into the spa, you’re greeted with a serene and calming atmosphere, designed to help you unwind and recharge.
The spa boasts an impressive array of facilities, including an indoor and outdoor heated swimming pool, steam room, sauna, Jacuzzi and a relaxation room for pre and post treatment bliss.
These facilities are thoughtfully designed to cater to the needs of every guest, whether you are seeking a deep cleanse or simply looking to unwind after a long day.
The treatment menu at the Spa at Nici is extensive, offering a variety of massages, facials, body treatments, and beauty services.
The therapists at the spa are highly trained and use only the finest products, making each session a truly indulgent and transformative experience.
The Spa at The Nici uses ward-winning spa brands OTO and OSKIA, to create a bespoke menu of treatments and holistic therapies, which includes bamboo massage, sound therapy and innovative anti-ageing techniques.
Each treatment is tailored to address the unique needs and concerns of the individual, ensuring a truly personalized experience.
Before your treatment you fill in a form that lets the therapist know what you are looking for during the treatment.
In my case, I went for a full body massage and I let them know the type of pressure I was wanting.
My massage was perfect, the therapist let me know what to expect before hand and during the massage made sure I was comfortable with the pressure.
As this was a birthday relaxation treat I went for light-medium pressure. I was so relaxed during this whole experience – I was told what each step would be before it happened – and asked how I was feeling during each new step to ensure I was comfortable.
What really helped centre me and get me ready for the treatment is the Relaxation room. This room has day beds and cosy sofas for you to sit and sip some herbal tea or infused water before and after your treatment – making it the perfect bookends to the experience.
The Spa at Nici Bournemouth is truly a haven for those seeking relaxation and rejuvenation.
With its tranquil setting, professional staff, and wide range of treatments and services, it is the perfect place to unwind and pamper yourself. Overall I really enjoyed my spa day, however the only downside was that the steam room was out of order for part of the day.
