BYREDO Mineralscapes Palette: Luxurious Earth-Inspired 18-Pan Eyeshadow Collection

As you are aware, I am a huge fan of BYREDO and their scents – but I had yet to discover their makeup collection. As soon as I got the email about their new release, Mineralscapes, an 18 pan limited edition eyeshadow palette inspired by the earth, our history and our molecular DNA – I just had to buy it!

This palette comes with the most beautiful blues, greens, golds and earthy tones to help create a beautiful eye-scape inspired by our history on Earth.

From the first glance this palette’s array of shades reminded me of my favourite Volcano Goddess palette from the now discontinued brand Becca, so this would be the ideal replacement.

First off, the packaging is very luxurious! It comes in a cardboard outer and the mirrored steel palette itself is lightweight but sturdy, with a beautiful gemstone accent on the front. It really looks stunning as soon as you get your hands on it!

Taking inspiration from the Earth’s stratigraphy you find shades such as Mineral, Rock Bed, Sunbeam and High Tide in this stunning palette.

In this palette you get two matte shades; Sun Dried – a warm earthy red colour, and High Tide, a cool grey toned mauve.

The rest are a collection of shimmery creamy shades which have a fine, gliding glitter in complimenting colours as well as duo-chrome.

Each shade applies nicely without going patchy, and the creamy formula allows for careful blending and buildability – making this a diverse palette allowing you to experiment between a soft and subtle and bold and vibrate looks.

Bottom Line: Absolutely stunning palette with a wide range of colours to compliment every skin colour, and cool or warm under-toned. The creamy formulas allow you to build up the shades, and blend them out beautifully without it going patchy.
